I'm going to their concert on Thursday with mewithoutyou, Dredg, and Blood Brothers!
|
Dredg live: Allright, i just dont like the band
Mewithoutyou: Meh Blood brothers: Energetic, but again, i just dont like the band Coheed: Played every song perfect, but only 4 older songs. Also, Apollo is the name of the sun god in mythology, and the sun is a star. Just something to wrap your mind around. |

Yeah, but someone asked why he would be telling it to his dog. Im trying to say that the dog represents something else, perhaps.
|
O ok....thier has to be some sort of clue in the album
|
Ya I think cobert is right because it is all symbolism and metaphors and stuff like that. Also my review on the concert was:
mewithoutYou- Not very good at all, I don't like the band to begin with and they had terrible stage presence Dredg- They were good they just didn't have very much energy The Blood Brothers-Tons of energy I am just not to fond of them Coheed and Cambria- It was amazing they played everything to perfection I did also not like the fact they didn't play much off Second Stage. I'm supposed to go to their show in December in Chicago with Fall Out Boy and All American Rejects but I am not positive yet. |
Yeah, i heard that they might be coming back to pittsburgh sometime this year, so ill go and get to see them again.
|

I think they're playing at IUP pretty soon. You know where that is, right? |
Yes, yes i do.
|
Hey, did you know that Fall of Troy is finally coming to Pittsburgh? They're playing at the Rex Theater sometime this week, but I can't possibly go because I'm in college and it's about an hour away :(
|

The Chicago tickets are gunna be tough to get because of all the fag's that are going for Fall Out Boy. |
Take me with you, DOD!!!
|
Wow. No activity in 2 days.
Any news on the comics yet? I really want to get that graphic novel. /bump |
They are planning on bringing out a graphic novel for In Keeping Secrets next I am pretty sure.
|
Why would they tour with fall out boy?
|
They aren't they are playing like one show or so.
The tickets haven't gone on sale yet. |
Why would they tour with fall out boy?
Why would they not? |
...because they're massively superior to Fall Out Boy in every way?
/me hides? |
And because it will get them attention that they deserve from all the people that don't know who they are and are just going to see FOB?
Because it will possibly make them more mainstream? (o noes) They deserve to get recognized. |
Ya it would be good to tour with Fall Out Boy and it will help when they play with them for that one show because all the people just going to see Fall Out Boy will see Coheed and will love them most likely haha.
|
Fair enough, valid points.
|
They are planning on bringing out a graphic novel for In Keeping Secrets next I am pretty sure.
So are they stopping the comics and going all graphic novels now.
They still have to finish SSTB first. |
So are they stopping the comics and going all graphic novels now.
They still have to finish SSTB first.
Well I'm not sure I remember them saying they are only going to have something like 12 comics to begin with and thats not enough. I don't really know what they are going to be doing I am just pretty sure they are making a novel for In Keeping Secrets then Second Stage. |
Co&Ca are touring the UK with Thrice.
I have to find someone to go with, unfortunately, no one I know likes either band. :( |

Coheed. =)
|
I don't see how success would ruin Coheed...
|
they ARE successful
|

I have to find someone to go with, unfortunately, no one I know likes either band. :(
OMFGROFLMYWAFFLE I have to go, 2 of my fave bands ! Dam, nearest place is over 2 hours away, Manchester. |
I'd so badly travel 2 hours to see them. They're both in my top 5 bands.
|
Same, i'm going to, don't worry.
That will be an AMAZING SHOW ! |
I don't see how success would ruin Coheed...
they are succesful, if they were popular like FOB........I dont think every good band needs to be popular, they could ruin themselves, like underoath, now thier playing thier videos on mtv |
I never said that Coheed aren't successful. I just said I don't see that success/popularity would or is gonna ruin them.
|
Each album sounds different, how many fans do you think they would lose and gain if they made their next album sound like HH or FOB?
|

They would lose fans and gain. But thats never gonna happen.:thumb: |
yeah not too many people around here know coheed and cambria but i got all my friends into them and now their popularity is starting to spread :thumb:
|

yeah it wont ruin them. except for the people who start to hate bands once thier on MTv. but they have been consistant with their style and story even with the success of "Favor House" from IKS. i think the band is very modest with what they do so i dont think popularity would make them change thier sound or "sell out". |
Popularity definitely wouldnt hurt coheed.
Im glad to get back on MX, ihad to stay after school until 6 every day this week because my band was helping with music in between scenes for the school play on Friday. We were going to play our own song, but there wasnt enough time for the school performance, and we didnt think the old people that came for the afternoon performance would be interested. |
Thrice+Coheed would be awesome.
Has Coheed ever played 21:13 live? That would be so awesome to see that live. |
I dunno that is a good question I dunno if they have. I'm guessing not but I'm not sure. Thrice and Coheed would be sweet.
