Meatplow 02-09-2010 10:20 PM

This is some seriously depraved EBM.

Meatplow 02-10-2010 03:17 PM

This isn't bad.

Have you heard the soundtrack for the original Silent Hill game? Some creepy ambient, you could certainly apply the "depraved" tag to it.

Jaundice 02-10-2010 03:21 PM

I'll check it out

The band is Assemblage 23, it's a one-man project I think. I was listening to them earlier and they have some really solid stuff. Cheesy arpeggios with really creepy melodies.

Stillhet (a black metal band) did a pretty awesome cover of that.

Interesting.

I always found it genuinely unnerving.

RouteOne 02-12-2010 02:07 PM

My god why is Prurient's Rose Pillar so perfect.

Txus 02-12-2010 02:08 PM

Why is Prurient so perfect

that's the real question

Definitely my favorite noise artist.

You live in NY, Ron? You should visit Hospital's Production shop one of these days. It rules.

RouteOne 02-12-2010 02:09 PM

I want to get his latest box set, if its not sold out already. Crazy stuff:

Jaundice 02-14-2010 05:56 PM

Been running through a lot of blogs lately trying to find some Cazazza that isn't on the Worst Of compilation

So far I've found a disc of his post-punk stuff that I'll have to listen to .

Me too. So disorientating. ****ing immense game.

Ventriloquist 02-14-2010 07:54 PM

Buying my tickets for the Nitzer Ebb gig on friday tomorrow. My first industrial gig <3

edit: 2nd, I saw NIN this summer.

Jaundice 02-14-2010 08:38 PM

NIN is not industrial. I saw them last year and walked out after the first few songs.

but for what its worth I consider Nine Inch Nails among the best and most important music that's ever been composed.

Murdererer 02-14-2010 11:07 PM

NIN and gary numan did a few numan songs at a concert recently, i heard they are gonna make an album together but i dont know if thats true. itd be interesting tho if they did

Lucian 02-14-2010 11:09 PM

Since you've included ambient, my favorite ambient band is The Receiving End of Sirens

Favorite industrial band, whereis I don't like much industrial, is Celldweller.
