Ha that's cool! It's great to have a good connection with the family, yes. I've only met her parents, sister and little brother yet.

Her sister is in a really good band though! Her band is growing super fast nationwide and is already signed by Universal :amaze:

Listen to One of these days :) They are a bit jazzy, but still poppy enough to make it big!

blizzard 10-20-2006 04:54 AM

Thats nice, they remind a bit of jazzier Jamiroquai with a female singer. Keep on good terms with her and maybe your band will be the next to get signed :thumb:

kilian 10-20-2006 05:00 AM

That's not what this relationship is about! tsk. ;)

But I'm off to pack my bags!

blizzard 10-20-2006 05:11 AM

Bass Queen 10-20-2006 05:30 AM

ebe9 10-20-2006 07:25 AM

Heya Bliz

blizzard 10-20-2006 07:40 AM

Woah you say Heya, maybe its a South African thing... I've only really encountered you and my ex who used heya (shes SA).

ebe9 10-20-2006 07:57 AM

It is a coloquialism.

Along with terms such as:

"Lekker"

"Eina"

"Howzit"

and a variety of others

blizzard 10-20-2006 07:59 AM

I know Howzit the other ones I havn't really heard though.

Anyway how goes it? what is it almost 3 in the afternoon over there?

14:53 now

Lekker is afrikaans for tasty, but is used a a means to denote enjoyment and finding something to be good.

Eina is afrikaans for "ouch"

Both are used quite often. I find the laguages tend to bleed into one another on this side.

blizzard 10-20-2006 08:06 AM

Cool, my dad can speak Afrikaans but doesn't :p But then again he can speak about 4 languages other than English and doesn't.

Ask him what the following means:

"Jou donner se ma se deksel"

:p

I am calling it a day.

I will catch you around Bliz.

Have a good one.

blizzard 10-20-2006 08:11 AM

lemoley 10-20-2006 09:07 AM

hey guys

Jom 10-20-2006 09:23 AM

Yo dudes, I have a quick question - someone's bound to know the answer.

I was scouring the Internets and stumbled across a bass guitar cheat sheet... but the only problem is that it doesn't seem to exist anymore because I get one of those 'The area you are looking has either moved or does not exist [sic]' sort of messages.

Does anybody happen to have that cheat sheet on their computer, possibly? It's linked in the bass forum's archives and in the Sputnikmusic lessons site, but the actual product does not seem to exist.

Help, plz?

lemoley 10-20-2006 09:37 AM

...

A gram?

Like an eigth bag?

Are you kidding me?

Spaceman Spiff 10-20-2006 12:27 PM

It was mad sticky-icky. :p

1 gram, as in... 3.5 grams is an eighth (as you freaks in the US call it), 7 grams is a quarter, 28 is an ounce.

thelowsoundofbass 10-20-2006 12:52 PM

So I got 50% on my economics exam. But I have high 90's in the rest of my classes, weird.

lowsound

Spaceman Spiff 10-20-2006 01:09 PM

I suck at rolling joints, it's going to be a real task to roll myself a nice one.

I know how, I have all the theory down, I just don't have the technique. :p

Once I rolled a really good one, though, that was quite a while back.

BenJammin 10-20-2006 01:47 PM

I just had the best frickin' sandwich.

Deli smoked meat + rye bread + yellow mustard = love.

Oh yes.

Pinhead13 10-20-2006 01:51 PM

Here's the file if you are still looking for it. I think there was another one.
