Oh man, Dr. Octagon that'd be an awesome show, definitely go.

yeah so i've just been getting into Spank Rock, and was wondering what anyone else thought about them?

raus 11-25-2006 02:06 AM

Dr. Octagon is so boring.

Ganondorf 11-25-2006 06:32 AM

i listened to it a while ago

but i forgot what i thought about it

Eliminator 11-25-2006 07:39 PM

So far, 2/4 songs are good.

Eliminator 11-25-2006 10:23 PM

Okay, so there are maybe two or three songs on Doctor's Advocate that are great. Everything else is pretty boring.

sgrevs 11-26-2006 05:40 AM

I like Doctor's Advocate, is definitely better than I expected. Good job Game.

Eliminator 11-26-2006 03:40 PM

i was counting how many songs he references shoes, compton, or another rapper but i lost count

however, it's okay and compton are awesome songs. i'll listen to it again later

That makes it two or three times better than The Documentary.

Yeah so after listening to Kingdom Come quite a lot today, I think it's getting some unfair criticism from various websites. Yeah, it's no Reasonable doubt or Blueprint, but there's enough on it to merit at least a 6 or 7 out of 10. Maybe it's because there's been so many huge hip hop releases this year that the big Jay Z release comes accross as underwhelming, but I don't think it's a bad record.

Rams 11-27-2006 01:55 PM

Hip-hop's been mediocre this year with all the supposedly big name albums kind of being weak. The Roots, Kanye, Outkast, Jurassic 5, DMX, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Gnarls Barkley, The Game, Jay-Z, Pharrell, Method Man, Ice Cube, etc. were all inconsistant to bad. There are a couple really solid albums, Fishscale, Great Migration, Murray's Revenge, and Food & Liquor being my favorite. However, none of them except Ghostface are really that known.

Robert Crumb 11-27-2006 08:45 PM

Food and Liquor sold pretty well. I'd says it's fair to call him known. I'd probably agree with the big names coming kinda weak. But I thought it was a pretty solid year overall. Better than last year, at least.

beso negro 11-27-2006 08:53 PM

We still got Hip-Hop is Dead coming up. I got high hopes for it.

and...

NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA IM FROM COMPTON.

That line is great.

piratevampire36 11-28-2006 01:53 AM

Dreams probably has the most name dropping on any single song ive evr heard

ATM 11-28-2006 02:06 AM

Good song.

Before 50 Cent made it big, he had this diss track calling out tons of people.

raus 11-28-2006 02:14 AM

Calling people out is different than what the Game does. He just drops names of people he doesn't know.

raus 11-28-2006 04:23 AM

Juelz Santana rhymes "dufflebag" with "dufflebag" 7 times on Get That Bread.

sgrevs 11-28-2006 06:32 AM

Lolzorz that's the best thing I've heard all day.

Halfway through Hell Hath No Fury atm, alright so far, not quite what everyone's making it out to be. I'll update again later.

^^Juelz Santana is worse than i first thought.
