Well, personally I don't really like straight edge. I have many friends that are straight edge so I'm not against it or anything. At my school I have people that claim to be straight edge and then they say that I'm weird because I'm a vegitarian... and I've also had straight edge kids ask me if I had any pills. So yeah, I guess they're just stupid and don't know what they're doing. I don't really like straight edge because it's just another lable and such for people to argue about and I think that we already have enough lables being thrown around at people. If you want to be drug free, and a vegitarian - then good. If you don't want to be - then good as well. It's your life.

My joke band did a song called "Straight Edge Is A Fu[b][i][/i][/b]cking Joke." It's called icecreamxcore and we got sooo many hate-mails from scene kids with names like "xmybrokenheartistrampledonbyautumnsdarkleavesandcutwiththerazorbladesofyourwordsx"
The thing is, none of our songs are serious, they're all about icecream. The lyrics were like "STRAIGHT EDGE IS FOR PU[b][i][/i][/b]SSIES! I BET YOU FU[b][i][/i][/b]CKS EAT VANILLA OFF OF A CONE! CONES ARE FOR PU[b][i][/i][/b]SSIES!" Good times.

Oh, dude its totally cool if you're not straight edge. I don't bag on people or pressure them to follow my lifestyle. It's just a personal option. Ig you're staight edge good for you. If you're not that's cool. There is no need for violence or insults from any side. It's pointless. Straight edge is up to the person and its not a big deal if someone isn't edge. Ya, that's just my opinion. But the person that told me that straight edge is gay and retarded was completely off base. They went on and said "straight edge people are p'ussies that can't take risk because they're afraid and because they're mama's boys". So ya, no harm no foul if you're not edge. I base my opinion of people on their personalities not way of life or religion or looks.

Post-hardcore I suppose, since they sound like Coheed&Cambria. Never could get past the vocals...or the music for that matter :p Definately not emo unless they had some completely different early stuff that I never heard.

They're from my town and I work with a lot of people that went to high school with him. One of the girls that works up here was really good friends with him. Apparently around the time he got into "hardcore" he turned into a huge prick and got into cocaine and stuff. Supposedly he's off of it now but he's probably still a douche.
