Txus 11-27-2009 02:11 PM

D-Beat actually stands for Discharge beat

WOAH MAN

masscows 11-27-2009 02:45 PM

So ColdWorld rules pretty hard, I don't know why I didn't like them when I got their album a year or so ago.

Txus 11-27-2009 02:50 PM

Yeah, one of the best Black Metal bands to come out in the last years.

masscows 11-27-2009 02:51 PM

Yeah it's solid stuff for sure. He's supposedly working on another album too, can't wait :D

Txus 11-27-2009 02:57 PM

Have you heard Gris, Nate?

Tyler 11-27-2009 02:59 PM

Gris is good

Txus 11-27-2009 03:01 PM

Yeah, really good. La Dryade is what I show to my friends who think BM musicians have no talent.

masscows 11-27-2009 03:07 PM

Nah haven't heard of them. What do they sound like?

Txus 11-27-2009 03:11 PM

I was asking because they sound like Coldworld, really beautiful stuff.

masscows 11-27-2009 03:12 PM

Listening to their maispace now, it's good so far. I'll have to pick up this album sometime.

Txus 11-27-2009 03:13 PM

:D

Canadian bm rules so much.

RetiredAt21 11-27-2009 04:05 PM

Gris is a lot better than ColdWorld imo.

Stormrider 11-27-2009 04:06 PM

I bought the Gris/Sombres Foret's collaboration along with the new Blut Aus Nord yesterday.

Will be listening to those later on.

Txus 11-27-2009 04:10 PM

Miserere Luminis? **** yes

I still need to buy their album.

illmitch 11-27-2009 04:12 PM

miserere luminis

have pity on the light

i get a boner when bands do songs in latin

Stormrider 11-28-2009 10:56 AM

So Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers of the Icy Ages is incredible.

It just suddenly clicked with me now.

RetiredAt21 11-28-2009 11:42 AM

Wuzzat?

Stormrider 11-28-2009 11:44 AM

second blut aus nord album

RetiredAt21 11-28-2009 12:10 PM

I forgot to dl Ultima Thulee. Will do later I guess.

Stevie 11-28-2009 06:09 PM

my family are making fun of archgoat vocals, what should i do?

Carl Sagan 11-28-2009 06:10 PM

fold your arms and stare at them

RetiredAt21 11-28-2009 08:16 PM

hahaha yeah stevie that's pretty much all you can do.

ATC 11-28-2009 08:41 PM

Gris are definitely my favorite black metal band at the moment. It's between them and Panopticon.

Tyler 11-28-2009 10:02 PM

Panoptiyawn

/hasn't heard Panopticon

DBlitz 11-28-2009 10:31 PM
So Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers of the Icy Ages is incredible.

i've been through all but one album from their discog once; Memoria Vetusta I and II and The Work Which Transforms God are probably my favourites (on first listen). probably will listen to these guys more

oh and i got around to downloading Panopticon, need to listen to that. the long tracks seem a bit off-putting but in the end its only like 45 minutes.

rasputin 11-28-2009 10:37 PM

panopticon are great

Si1v3RfaNg 11-28-2009 10:43 PM

I can't decide if Collapse is better than the S/T yet... when one gets better than the other for me, I find something else more interesting in the other one.

Txus 11-29-2009 12:51 AM

I prefer the S/T only by a little line, they are both so ****ing great though

ATC 11-29-2009 01:08 AM

I think I prefer the S/T by a hair. The individual songs stick with me more. Emma's song is just incredible and strangely worthy of her legacy. They're all great songs though, not just that. However, Collapse is arguably a better, more cohesive album.

I was going through my old external HD today and rediscovered Haemoth. I'm digging it now. Didn't much then.

rasputin 11-29-2009 02:45 AM

Collapse is really good because of how well it works as an entire album. If you're looking at individual tracks, the s/t is outstanding.

McP3000 11-29-2009 03:52 AM

the death of baldur is soooo goooddd

illmitch 11-29-2009 03:53 AM

yeah i love that burzum album

Aakon_Keetreh 11-29-2009 03:50 PM

cant wait for the new burzum album

RetiredAt21 11-29-2009 07:51 PM

I have high hopes for it.

rasputin 11-29-2009 08:02 PM

yeah im looking forward to hearing it too but i wouldnt say i had 'high hopes'

RetiredAt21 11-29-2009 08:03 PM

All the black metal he has made thus far has been great so I have a pretty good feeling about it.

rasputin 11-29-2009 08:04 PM

that's true but he hasn't made black metal for a long time

RetiredAt21 11-29-2009 08:05 PM

Well I doubt he's forgotten.

rasputin 11-29-2009 08:07 PM

he could be rusty, he could be sub-par. there is reason to have doubts.

RetiredAt21 11-29-2009 08:13 PM

Are there any other Paysage d'Hiver releases worth having? I have: the s/t, Die Festung and Einsamkeit.
