D-Beat actually stands for Discharge beat
WOAH MAN |
So ColdWorld rules pretty hard, I don't know why I didn't like them when I got their album a year or so ago.
Yeah, one of the best Black Metal bands to come out in the last years.
Yeah it's solid stuff for sure. He's supposedly working on another album too, can't wait :D
Have you heard Gris, Nate?
Gris is good
Yeah, really good. La Dryade is what I show to my friends who think BM musicians have no talent.
Nah haven't heard of them. What do they sound like?
I was asking because they sound like Coldworld, really beautiful stuff.
Listening to their maispace now, it's good so far. I'll have to pick up this album sometime.
:D
Canadian bm rules so much. |
Gris is a lot better than ColdWorld imo.
I bought the Gris/Sombres Foret's collaboration along with the new Blut Aus Nord yesterday.
Will be listening to those later on. |
Miserere Luminis? **** yes
I still need to buy their album. |
miserere luminis
have pity on the light i get a boner when bands do songs in latin |
So Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers of the Icy Ages is incredible.
It just suddenly clicked with me now. |
Wuzzat?
second blut aus nord album
I forgot to dl Ultima Thulee. Will do later I guess.
my family are making fun of archgoat vocals, what should i do?
fold your arms and stare at them
hahaha yeah stevie that's pretty much all you can do.
Gris are definitely my favorite black metal band at the moment. It's between them and Panopticon.
Panoptiyawn
/hasn't heard Panopticon |
So Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers of the Icy Ages is incredible.
It just suddenly clicked with me now.
i've been through all but one album from their discog once; Memoria Vetusta I and II and The Work Which Transforms God are probably my favourites (on first listen). probably will listen to these guys more oh and i got around to downloading Panopticon, need to listen to that. the long tracks seem a bit off-putting but in the end its only like 45 minutes. |
panopticon are great
I can't decide if Collapse is better than the S/T yet... when one gets better than the other for me, I find something else more interesting in the other one.
I prefer the S/T only by a little line, they are both so ****ing great though
I think I prefer the S/T by a hair. The individual songs stick with me more. Emma's song is just incredible and strangely worthy of her legacy. They're all great songs though, not just that. However, Collapse is arguably a better, more cohesive album.
I was going through my old external HD today and rediscovered Haemoth. I'm digging it now. Didn't much then. |
Collapse is really good because of how well it works as an entire album. If you're looking at individual tracks, the s/t is outstanding.
the death of baldur is soooo goooddd
yeah i love that burzum album
cant wait for the new burzum album
I have high hopes for it.
yeah im looking forward to hearing it too but i wouldnt say i had 'high hopes'
All the black metal he has made thus far has been great so I have a pretty good feeling about it.
that's true but he hasn't made black metal for a long time
Well I doubt he's forgotten.
he could be rusty, he could be sub-par. there is reason to have doubts.
Are there any other Paysage d'Hiver releases worth having? I have: the s/t, Die Festung and Einsamkeit.
