Very good. From their myspace they sounded like a rip off of Time of Orchids, but after seeing them they reminded me of a folkish Xiu Xiu.

Secular Works took some time for me to appreciate it. Initially I didn't really like it but after a while I really started digging it's intricacy and stuff

is it really? i listened to a bit of npr before lunch today and one of the persons on there said it's worse than batman begins, which i didn't think was all that great.

i'll probably watch it anyway.

I liked it. Action sequences always bother me though because you can never tell what's happening besides the fact that someone's getting beaten up.

Better than Begins though, and Begins was a 9/10 soo...

I never thought of Begins as a complete movie. Watching I knew there would be another movie after it and I felt it was just a way to set that up. I loved the new spin it took on the Batman series by cutting most/all of the campy stuff from other eras and making it a lot more psychological, etc. which is really why I loved the Dark Knight. It's like Batman Begins put the ball on the tee and The Dark Knight knocked it out of the park.

I dunno maybe I'm just a sucker for "THE BEGINNING OF BATMAN" or something. The haters for this movie are ridiculous and more than half of them cry about it being "too long"

Movie was really good. The lines were ridiculous. The one I went to sold out and that was on the third day of its release. Australia got it a few days early and apparently each copy of it has a number encoded into it so if a pirate copy turns up on the internet they can trace it to whichever cinema it came from. My friend was issued with night vision goggles to make sure there was no one in the cinema filming. I mean, it's Batman ffs.
