Time to beat people with the user above me.
Man, am I a dork...I'm rereading some of my old Star Wars novels, specifically the X-wing: Rogue Squadron series...

The thing is, they're actually very well-written. Hmmm. Michael Stackpole is a fantasy author most of the time, I guess, but his writing skill is pretty clear here. And I'm riveted, too, can't put the books down. Neato.
Terry Brooks wrote some Starwars stuff too... his fantasy work is so much better though.

There's nothing wrong with reading though dude, it's freaking fun.

Eh? What are you talking about, infidel? :p
There's nothing wrong with reading though dude, it's freaking fun.
Oh, I know that, I have hundreds of books. It's just that my apparent tastes are not very literary compared to many of my friends of similar intelligence or creative energy levels. They're all reading Faulkner and Proulx and Greene (although I actually like Greene very much, but not as pleasure reading), and here I am reading spy novels by Robert Ludlum, war novels by Jack Higgins and Tom Clancy, and Star Wars novels by Kevin J. Anderson and Michael Stackpole. :p

So true, so true.

You have reason to fear me. Know why? All those Chuck Norris facts? yeah they were originally written about me.
You have Blood in your name so I'd say you.
How'd you know that?

superpeer 03-16-2006 04:27 PM

I often read true Literature (with the capital L and all), but mostly because I'm a literature and linguistic student, probably, though. O:-)

Last three books were all in English too, I'm getting even more anglified. =o It's so much better reading books in their original language.

Don't bring up the You/Mr. T/Vin Diesel/Chuck Norris facts...

Yeah, wow. I thought I changed it before February...hmm.
How much is this in centimetres?

It's about 1.6 metres. That's Dio height, hehe.

But apparently women prefer the security that looking down on a man gives them. Hence tall blokes like me have to sit down when talking to girls. Not that I have to do that anymore.

superpeer 03-16-2006 04:34 PM
Bolded for truth.
I've read novels in three languages. Dutch and English, obviously, and French. French is really difficult though, since my vocabulary really isn't all that expansive. Probably worse now too, since I haven't practised it. First novel in English was the Catcher in the Rye, I must have been 14 at the time. The only French novel I remember getting through decently was one by the great Jean Paul Sartre, I think it was called 'Les Jeux sont faits"

Meh, I don't buy that. I don't know any girls who like short guys. I mean, shorter than they are. Wait, I just don't know any girls! :( *cries*

Ah. Hmm.

I think I only posted like 13 times in July that year, because I was visiting here, then when I went back to California I didn't post until September, because I didn't have access to the internet.

Jom 03-16-2006 04:39 PM

I used to do a really good Heafy impression, but I hurt my throat one time and I haven't bothered to try doing it again because I should stick to impressions of sketch comics or other things that are my forte instead, heh.

Having only one class on Thursdays is ideal because I can sit here and get infected with March Madness.

That girl Cain posted looked kinda funny.

Gatorade is a wonderful drink to refuel after lifting/running/being dehydrated.

Mother Nature needs to shit and get off the pot. 3-6" after having a sixty-six degree Fahrenheit day earlier this week can kiss my ass.

Riva 03-16-2006 04:47 PM

What's March Madness?

The temperature got about 2 degrees higher here, despite it being early Autumn.

And why do I feel guilty for listening to pre-1997 INXS, just because of the travesty that was Rock Star. :(

Jev 03-16-2006 04:48 PM

The temperature got rediculous here. It was snowing again today.

Because you were doing what he was doing :D.

I've hurt my throat making fun of Heafy before too.
