The general consensus was it's better than No Heroes and around the same caliber as You Fail Me, if not better. And that Effigy is their best song since Concubine.

I've heard most people say the title track is the best song on the album. I've also heard Wretched World, Cruel Bloom and Worms Will Feed as popular favorites.

If someone doesn't like metalcore I doubt [I]No Heroes[/I] or [I]Axe to Fall[/I] is gonna convert them.

They'd prob have to start with a bad entry lvl band like ABR and that popular aussie band. Or The Devil Wears Prada.

Parkway Drive and ABR are good gate way bands for sure.

Probably the only two generic metalcore bands I enjoy. Oh and Dreaming in Oceans mainly cos they rule live.

UnderOath are prob the best gateway band, The Changing of Time got me into metalcore.

First metalcore bands I listened to Poison the Well and Shai Hulud. Never like Shai Hulud but I've loved Poison the Well ever since ever since hearing "Nerdy" for the first time.

I don't mind Blood Ill-Tempered but haven't really felt the urge to divulge further into their disco.

Cannot get into them. Tried many times before.

I still don't like Poison The Well that much. I dunno I just can't get into them, and I have what I think are considered their 2 best albums, The Opposite of December and You Come Before You. I listen to them semi frequently in an attempt to change this, but it hasn't happened yet.
