I hate wearing band shirts. :( Why? Because they are all black. :upset:
If I were to wear any type of black shirt, it would have to be plain. Have nothing on it. |
I have one Pink Floyd shirt, it's the wall.
|
Sorry, I don't wear AC/DC shirts so I don't go into those stores.
Seriously though, I don't have a Kauffman's, but I've seen a couple shirts at JC Penny's. Mainly AC/DC, Kiss, Rolling Stones, maybe a few Hendrix ones.
I got 4 or 5 Hendrix, a Zeppelin, Who, Doors, and 2 Floyd from there. They also have a Yellow Submarine shirt, Hard Days Night, and a Black Sabbath shirt. |
I feel cheesey buying band clothes.
Edit: I guess my JC Penny store just sucks then. And what are you doing with a Who shirt? poser zomg lol |
I want a Razor shirt like OMFG so bad.
|
I want a Darkthrone shirt really bad, but I haven't seen one yet . I'll have to order one I guess.
|

That would be the way to go. :thumb: Unfortunately for me, you can't even ORDER a Razor shirt. I contacted their drummer and he might send me one though. :D |
Late but someone called me
I'd like to throw people for a loop on that one. Either I'd give the honest answer (black-crimson), or I'd do something very silly (rotting pumpkin orange).
I always say... "some really ugly piss yellow color that no one likes or will ever use but can't throw away because then the other crayons wouldn't fit right in the box: a spiteful crayon" |
That would be the way to go. :thumb:
Unfortunately for me, you can't even ORDER a Razor shirt. I contacted their drummer and he might send me one though. :D
That's awsome. That's one of the things about smaller bands, they'll actually respond to any e-mails, and such. |
As I said, Hot Topic does have some good merchandise if you know where to look. I have a couple of T-shirts from there. And I got my brother his fedora there. He wanted one to go with his suit because it makes him look like a very young Al Capone.
It's true, I own two Hot Topic shirts. It's just that I'm a bit biased towards the idiots who flaunt their "Monkeys stole my underwear" shirts and think they're awesome, or have their "I see stupid people" shirts and thinking they're superior. Band shirts, graphic shirts, etc., I don't have a problem with, heh, it's just the personality people have when it comes to wearing the more stupider (not a word, but said for effect) shirts. |
That's awsome. That's one of the things about smaller bands, they'll actually respond to any e-mails, and such.
Yep! Let's see, I'm in constant contact with: Rob Mills - Razor's drummer Bob Reid - Razor's vocalist Vic ??? - Sauron's guitarist And I've exchanged message board PM's with Gary Holt and Rick Hunolt of Exodus recently. :D |
What's wrong with black shirts? I have 3 now, and used to have some more. I also where a lot of other colors too, but I don't mind black. The stupid kind with those white lettered phrases suck though.
|
I agree with Jom. Wearing shirts that say frivolous shit like, "I'm not crazy, but the voices in my head think so!" are grounds for public humiliation.
I mostly just wear shirts with sports stuff on them /shrug |
Meh, I don't mind joke shirts, although some of them are just retarded.
|
Meh, I don't mind joke shirts, although 99% of them are just retarded.
Fixed |
So basically, my new job is amazing.
|
So basically, my new job is amazing.
What do you do? |
Many of them have been turned into cliches. Occassionally, you'll see one that isn't very common. One catalog I get used to feature a blue T-shirt with pine-tree logos on it that said, "Save the Trees! Wipe Your Ass with an Owl!" Not too bad as far as those sort of shirts go.
What I want is for people to stop pretending that shirts with jokes about mental illness make them edgy and cool. Why? Because I am fucking crazy! And all I have to do is look at people for them to know it. |
I got 5 pink floyd shirts
/over kill
I have 8 Metallica shirts. /overover kill
What do you do?
He works at a guitar store. |
To Madey and Lunch:
I work at a music shop, and I am in charge of keeping the front counter stocked. It's sooo laid back. Their is no dress code. We can listen to whatever music we want. We have AC. etc |
I have 8 Metallica shirts.
/overover kill
I have 7 Overkill shirts. /Overkill and another corpse |
Naturally dark?
I look like a sorcerer from the Dark Ages catapulted into the 21st century. I look good in black, and have a somewhat sinister face and voice. I've been drawn to the occult and arcane since I was old enough to watch movies and have made it a hobby of mine throughout the years. I'm also officially nuts. My diagnosis for clinical depression is severe enough that my family recently discovered that it may make me elligible to receive healthcare coverage on medication for life. I'm drawn to controversy, secrests, mysticism, and the weird. So it bothers me when I see little mall-core kiddies and scenesters trying to pretend to be dark, menacing, spooky, or whatever the hell it is they want to call themselves. They have absolutely no idea what it's like to live life like me and are just fitting the stereotype of what I like to call "Rebel Without a Clue." |

The first time I saw that shirt, I got a good chuckle but now that I see it all the time, it isn't funny at all anymore. And yes, most people do just wear those shirts to be cool. |
Lucky! I have to wear a white collared shirt with black pants when it's freaking 90 degrees outside. I get pretty toasty.. which is why I went out on a limb and just wore a white t-shirt.. no one said anything.
That's pretty cool though, I wish I could wear jeans and tshirts to work. That'd make it 10 times easier.
It's also really close to my house. I left for work at 9:54 this morning and got there at 9:57 :-D |
Umm.. ooooooooooook then.
Nobody gets me. I'm the wind. /cliche |
What should I listen to?
|
Maybe it's because you talk about having clinical depression like it's something cool.
Never meant to imply it was. I'm not cool for being dark and insane. That's just the way I am, so I don't feel any need to make apologies for it. What makes me cool is that I'm self-aware and don't try to hide it. So I'm a twisted artist. Fine. I'll be a twisted artist. Got that taken care of. Next. |
Maybe it's because you talk about having clinical depression like it's something cool.
Im glad as hell you werent here yesterday. |
What's up with your avatar, man?
|
Steerpike is drunk, he's not really dark and twisted. Well, at the moment he might be. :p
|
You like to inform everyone how "dark" and "mysterious" you are. You sound like one of those kids who goes out of their way to seem a certain way to others. At least, that's the vibe I'm getting from you.
I admit, I'm a little vain. I have a flair for pageantry. I relish playing the part of the outspoken artist. I usually trust on my friends to drag me down to earth when I start laying it on too thick, though. |
Has your magic scored you any ass yet?
Has your magic scored you any ass yet?
My only audience thus far has been co-workers. My dad and I are saving up for a street magic instructional DVD. Once I nail a few of those tricks, I'll test them out at a couple parties on campus and see what goes from there. If nothing else, it'll help me come out of my shell a little better. |
What's with the book ads at the top of the forum?
|
Im seriously thinking of pursuing some kind of future in competitive eating. I just tried to see how fast I could eat a PB&J and it took me 28 seconds. (two pieces of white bread, with jelly, and creamy peanut butter). I think thats pretty good.
What's with the book ads at the top of the forum?
I have a UNICEF one. |
I have a UNICEF one.
Strange. NP: Sodom - Deadline |
I had the UNICEF one too. There was one for jazz trombone mouthpeices too.
|
they are google smart ads. What they advertise is dependant on what information is on the page.
