I haven't heard all of it, but what I have I've liked and I've heard nothing but good about it. Also, Rock of Ages is awesome.
Try Dixie Chicken by Little Feat
Will do, thanks. |

Dont you think after 26,000 posts the subject has changed? :amaze: Other than that welcome to the Classic Rock thread. |
To hear all the metalheads yap about Dream Theater and Iron Maiden? Thanks but no thanks.
I was considering checking out Dream Theatre just because they were touring with Yes, but I am not exactly a metal head, so I can't exactly get a fair opinion of them from their fans or other metal heads, but you guys have similar taste in music as me, what do you think? |

They're not my style I bought an album of theirs for like 3 dollars because I'd heard everyone rave about them. To be honest I never listen to it. |

The Band's s/t rules. I'm not sure which I like more now, that or Music From the Big Pink. They are both very good and worth buying. |

Would you be able to send one of them to me? |
I didn't even see Blues for Allah.
I actually can't stand them. When I listen to them, and I can understand that they are good at their instruments, but it's like they are playing their instruments for all the wrong reasons...as if every song they play is just to impress someone. That's just my views though, I'm not a fan of bands like that. I don't even mind metal, or prog, or prog-metal or whatever you consider them. I just don't like them. My school has a hockey team, swim team, curling team, we basically have a team/club for anything you can imagine, and if there isn't a club...you start it. I recently started a bowling club after seeing the movie The Big Lebowski. I did shrooms again last night, and watched The Wall. Although I wasn't really focusing on the movie, I was kind of just staring at everything around me. I saw some cool stuff, it was so much fun. We also listened to PATGOD, which was pretty crazy...it makes you think there's a bunch of other people or things in the room. |
Did any of you see the thread in the Pit, "Me & My Friends are going to be Hippies"? I recommend you all take your shots at him before it is closed or before it died.
And where do you do shrooms? |

And where do you do shrooms?
My friends house. His parents are always away for the weekends, so me and my friends always have parties there. Although we recently stopped having parties so we can take shrooms in peace and quiet...it's usually just four of us (two of us on shrooms, two relatively stoned). I find it work out well, because it's a good environment to trip in...we've had no problems so far. edit- and I saw that thread in the pit, I figured I would just let everyone else make fun of him...I'm sure he's realized the error of his ways already. |

Woodstock, you mooch.
Arrogant little Deadhead. I want to get into them, a band you like, and all you can do is make an insulting comment instead of an album suggestion. Thanks. |
Anyone here ever listen to David Wilcox? Not entirely classic rock, but he's got some cool songs. I really like his guitar playing, it's sort of the same style George Thorogood uses, but he always puts a really strange twist on every song he plays.
edit- If any here hasn't heard Do The Bearcat, you might wanna download it, or I could send it. You may not like it, but he makes good use of his guitar, it's just a fun song. |
He's good, not the kind stuff that I'm into, but he really does know how to work his guitar.
|

You kinda just summed up what I was trying to say. He's not bad, but I don't listen to him regularly. When I do listen to him though, I enjoy what I hear. |
I like how he's able to make his guitar sound what he's singing about, for example Do The Bearcat

Ya, that's pretty cool. His guitar playing on Hot, Hot Papa is pretty cool too. He plays a lot of boogie type guitar (if that's the correct term to describe it). |
I can't think of a better term for it

What would everyone think of the remaining Beatles merging with the remaining memebrs of The Who to form The Whootles?
Paul McCartney has been asked about it in interviews, but he has not given a specific answer. |

Geez, angry little Kinks fan, you got to calm down. I thought it was an obvious joke. |

man, theres been a lot of misunderstandings on here lately. lets just all assume that sarcasm is hard to detect in text (which it is) and add a smiley to show that were kidding. or something. ****. **** you all! see? |
I give away albums all the time, so there's no reason why I would be against him asking for one, unless he does it nonstop, which he doesn't.
|
Oh well, I have it now. Thanks to magicbus.
|
To the people talking about David Wilcox, Do the Bearcat is the greatest song ever.
|
Oh well, I have it now. Thanks to magicbus.
Wach yo back boi, wach yo back! |
I found out today that my dad saw the Dead in '81. He said it was the weirdest things he'd ever seen, and I'm not surprised.

Paul McCartney has been asked about it in interviews, but he has not given a specific answer.
That would work considering The Beatles are missing a lead guitarist, and the who are missing a drummer and a bassist, It'd be interesting, that's for sure, would Townsend do it? He seems pretty unpredictable, selling songs for ads left and right, and smashing guitars and stuff |

Starr on drums, McCartney on bass/guitar, Townshend on guitar, Daltrey on vocals. |
Oh well, I have it now. Thanks to magicbus.
 I would enjoy seeing the members of The Who joing with the members of The Beatles. That would make a very good band methinks. |
That would be incredible.
Id pay a ton of money to get a DVD with Beatles and Who performing together. In fact, i saw a DVD on TV a few days ago with huge guitarist there...But i totally forget who after seeing Claptons performance (it wasnt the crossroads festival), but it was awsome. I might do some web browsing for that dvd too... |
Props to Woostock for the Tubular Bells avatar.

And of course Paul would do vocals as well. |

I didn't mention that since Daltrey would become somewhat "useless". |
I didn't mention that since Daltrey would become somewhat "useless".
They would share vocal duties, like Lennon/McCartney did. And Paul could do backing vocals and stuff, because he was so good at that in the beatles. |
