I hate Zeppelin too. Robert sounds exactully like Janis. Am I the only one to notice.
Yea, but we could all use more Janis.

Wow, that guy's classic rock tastes don't expand far at all.
Hey man, you stole my insult. He is gay though.
It's with great respect to you that I use the insult :thumb:.

Who's?

And I don't think Robert sounds like Janis.

Some guy's post on this page said his classic rock tastes vary a lot, then he goes on to list LZ, Deep Purple, Sabbath, and Skynyrd.

jpj 01-15-2005 12:15 AM

oic

I watched The Last Waltz today, and I think Up On Cripple Creek and Don't Do It are my favorites.

Woodstock 01-15-2005 12:23 AM

My dad just found his old Quicksilver Messanger Service album. Perfect, brilliant jam/psychedelic rock. A new favorite for sure.

jpj 01-15-2005 12:26 AM

I have to add Happy Trails to the list to get. It's times like these I wish I was rich.

I have the money, I just cant find the CD's, gonna hafta start ordering them off a website.

jpj 01-15-2005 09:47 AM

I have like $22 in credit at Best Buy, so maybe I'll luck out and find it there. However I highly doubt that. Especially since all they had Dead-wise was one copy of American Beauty and like 30 copies of the same greatest hits.

Yea it's highly unlikely that Best Buy will have it. Their limited Grateful Dead selection pisses me off.

Woodstock, order from Amazon. They always have good prices and it never takes too long to ship.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-15-2005 09:57 AM

Best Buy has some good stuff at times I found Birdland which I consider a rare album.

jpj 01-15-2005 09:58 AM

Well there's this used CD store really close to Best Buy so I'll probably go there too. They have a pretty good selection, I was very surpirsed when I saw The Grateful Dead Go To Heaven there.

It was easy for me to find, I'm not sure what it's like anywhere else though. I got it used at F.Y.E., but now that I think about it that was the only time I ever saw it.

Speaking of Happy Trails can I get "Maiden Of the Cancer Moon" from someone?
Speaking of Happy Trails can I get "Maiden Of the Cancer Moon" from someone?
I can't get it to you until a few days from now. I let my friend borrow it, but when he's done I plan to rip it onto my computer.

Jam2Me 01-15-2005 10:17 AM

My local CD store is probably one of the worst out of anyone here...the main reason I don't have all the CDs I like is because I just can't find them, occasionally I find some good stuff at Coconuts or Strawberries (do yuo guys have those?) but other then that I've got no options :(

When I went CD shopping this summer with my uncle I bought 16 CDs, I love Boston music stores :D

magicbus 01-15-2005 10:45 AM

I don't like Janis Joplin or American Beauty. I like Ziggy Stardust. I like used cd store the best.

Good way to sum up the last few pages.

magicbus 01-15-2005 10:56 AM

If there's more than 3 pages of discussion I missed, I try to do it all in one post.

Have you guys heard of Panama Red? My dad just mentioned them when I brought up Spencer Dryden's death.

I for one, haven't.

I missed alot of dissing JPJ :upset:
I like Janis. Which QSMS album did you find Woodstock?

Well, in Anchor Man (if you guys have seen it) did you notice when he is done his jazz flute solo he yells "Hey Aqualung"? When I saw it first I didn't notice it but last night I did and it was a good laugh.

lunch998 01-15-2005 01:20 PM

Yea that was classic. I liked the part in Ocean's 12 where Matt Damon quotes the first verse of Kashmir. I don't think anyone got it but me.

thunderzstruck 01-15-2005 01:41 PM

Anoyone want to reccommend me a Beatles cd? All I have is Sgt Peppers.

Humor99 01-15-2005 02:03 PM

Abbey Road would have to be my favorite, it's just so good in terms of musicianship.

Also, I've been listening to the mp3s from The Last Waltz that I ripped like constantly.
Anoyone want to reccommend me a Beatles cd? All I have is Sgt Peppers.
I also recommend Revolver.

BludgeonySteve 01-15-2005 02:31 PM
/recommends Revolver. Seriously though, there's so many great ones that people are probably going to say Rubber Soul, Abbey Road, The White Album, and Magical Mystery Tour as well...but personally Revolver is absolutely my favourite album by them.
All of that + a hard days night.

Badmoon 01-15-2005 02:31 PM
Abbey Road would have to be my favorite, it's just so good in terms of musicianship.
True, that is an amazing album.

Magical Mystery Tour owns also.

Badmoon 01-15-2005 02:33 PM

Have I given out an Phil Lesh & Friends recorded samples?

magicbus 01-15-2005 02:38 PM

Humor, if I get my AIM working can you send me some songs?

And I saw the Aqualung line the second time I watched it too.
