you can literally watch any seinfeld episode with no idea what happened in other episodes and find it funny because it's based off the humor of everyday encounters

most of the humor in arrested development is inside jokes and running gags that are only funny if you're familiar with the entire series

it appeals to some older people but children are the core demographic
