title track is ace

the2stranger 06-08-2009 01:18 PM

Million Year Summer is prbably my favorite.
But actually, listening to that CD puts me in a trance and I enjoy every track from start to end. :p

beans 06-08-2009 01:22 PM

agreed, listening to whole album is probably the best, i haven't had too much time with it though, just started listening to it about 2 weeks ago. Is their older stuff worth searching out and getting as well?

the2stranger 06-08-2009 01:34 PM

It sure is.
It's not as insanely layered and dense as WSWS.
But definetely worthy your time, it shows a more tribal approach, which really fits the music and gives it and even more mediative feel.
Coma Waering (spelled like that, it's no typo), is next on your list if you enjoy WSWS.

beans 06-08-2009 01:43 PM

i will have to get my hands on that

the2stranger 06-08-2009 01:51 PM

Later.

Sup bros? Been heiling a new internship.

Meatplow 06-08-2009 04:36 PM

Listening to lots of Current 93, doing plenty of reading. Almost finished Thus Spake Zarathustra, it's been a long time since i've started it. Revisting sections from Mount Analogue as well, a very enjoyable book.

Nostalgia 06-08-2009 04:37 PM

It takes me forever to read Nietzsche. I've read the first half of the Gay Science and am having trouble getting through the second... it's really just not as good as the first.

The song or the sub-par Metalcore band?

Pete 06-08-2009 04:46 PM
The song or the sub-par Metalcore band?
you seriously must not have listened to them.

what makes them sub-par? if anything, they're at least on-par

Tyler 06-08-2009 04:49 PM

I used to have Like the Word Love on the Lips of a Harlot and while it wasn't bad (so I guess not exactly sub-par), it did little to stand out and really make me want to listen to it. It's the definition of "okay".

yeah, (in my humble opinion) it's a lot more "standard" than "the onyx sun", which by my standards is an outstanding album, but calling even "like the word" subpar seems a little extreme

subpar

SYLLABICATION: sub·par
PRONUNCIATION: süb-pär'
ADJECTIVE: 1. Not measuring up to traditional standards of performance, value, or production. 2. Below par in a hole, round, or game of golf.

i mean, thats a bit extreme
