Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
Clips of it anyway, my own copy is hopefully finally on its way to me. I dreamt once that I got to see Talking Heads live. It was a good dream.
You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later. oshi! |
Sonic Youth
The Notwist - Neon Golden Dr. Dre - The Chronic |
Björk - Volta
Kompakt - Total 7 |
Volta is better then I thought it would be.
|
I'm digging some early Tom Waits. Especially The Early Years compilations and The Heart of Saturday Night. Fumblin' with the Blues is the coolest ****ing song ever.
|
The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow
makes me want to give Morrissey a hug |
Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible
|
Black Flag - First Four Years
|

Yay, Danny J.
I had a dream last night that I was in a video game arcade with some people. I was walking around looking at the games they had and there was an Echo and the Bunnymen game. I woke up right when I saw it. I've spent the rest of the morning wondering what an Echo and the Bunnymen game would be like. So yeah, listening to them. |
Jaga Jazzist - What We Must
Cursive - Storms of Early Summer |

I remember when I first discovered his music back in high school. He's just a really fucked up cool guy. He was definitely one of the musicians that got me through the "high school years". But, I think Jandek is actually a far more interesting listen. Moving on, I'm usually not all that into the Mars Volta which is why I've avoided Frances the Mute and Amputechture but I recently decided to buy Frances the Mute since it was five dollars. While I enjoy their ideas, I think they suffer from using digital recording software. If they were able to record straight onto a tube board it think they'd really have a great sound. They sound too crisp. Even if they used tube preamps it would help. |
jandek is cool too. i only have one of his albums though.

Ah, late 80s Jandek is pretty good. |
daniel johnston
He's coming to my town tomorrow, but I don't think I'm going.
Sufjan Stevens - Greetings from Michigan For some reason "Music for 18 Musicians" reminded me of this album, and I haven't heard it in well over a year. Maybe even two. I'm still dissapointed in how he left out my home town. |
Go.

Black Dice - Beaches and Canyons
It has its moments but it's also very hard to sit through. |
Go.
I had the devil and daniel johnston at my house and just didn't watch it, and now it's gone. So I can't really muster up the interest. Plus I think I'm currently broke. |
Black Dice - Beaches and Canyons
I love this record - definitely the band's best. Venetian Snares - Cavalcade of Glee and Dadaist Happy Hardcore Pom Poms and still... Kompakt - Total 7 Terrific compilation from the label - a great starting place to find out where to go next. |
