The second Four Horseman solo.
sarcasm correct? |
sarcasm correct?
if it is the solo that they never play live(the soft interlude), it isn't sarcasm. |
Yea man it's easy so are the opening saniterium. one. the MOP interlude
I'll think of more ina minute |
this is what I can play:
the first 2 one solos. the first fade to black solo MOP interlude and first solo For whom the bell tolls guitar duel thing. and thats all :( |
Okay try santierum* the fh that nice thing on Phantom lord
Oh and some of the stuff like nothing else matters and the unforgiven I play Guitar so feel free to ask any questions |
Oh yea and my favourite that I am learning right now is AJFA title track
it's got some awsome stuff |
I just finished watching the St. Anger DVD AND I can't get Shoot Me Again outta my head.
Oh, yeah, and for everyone who criticizes Rob T. because you can't hear the bass in the album, keep this in mind: ROB T. IS NOT ON THE ALBUM! It's Bob Rock. And another reason why you cant hear the bass is because the guitars are tuned low and the bass has to be tuned INSANELY low to match the guitars. |
Maybe I'm the only one, But I can hear the bass on St. Anger, I dare say louder then on any albums with Jason..
|
I can here it sometimes. More than Jason's albums? Possibly, I'd have to pay attention to the bass more.
|
definatly, The Bass is louder on St. Anger, but i think that is because it is a current metal CD, and its meant to shake the house instead of show off talent.
|
Does anyone know anything about the new alblum? I want to know more. I dont mind a few speculations but some facts would help. thx :D
|
I don't think anyone really knows anything about it, and speculation is the pastime of a fool.
|
yeah i think ill just wait till they make a movie about the new album then ill know allllll about it and probably appreciate it more :|
|
Who knows? Maybe this one won't suck after all, then again maybe it will.
|
Well, the reason you can hear the bass better on St.Anger is because that was the only good thing Bob Rock did for Metallica!
|
I haven't read it yet but, who produced KEA-AJFA for metallica?
|
 hi.
I just mastered he first solo in fade to black  I'm not really a lead guitarist, but what other solos would be good for me to learn? I don't have a wah pedal so....
the nothing else matters solo is pretty easy too, and the first 2 One solos are pretty cool also |
I haven't read it yet but, who produced KEA-AJFA for metallica?
Flemming Rammussen (i cant spell his last name) . |
I think it's Rasmussen. Wonder if he likes the Rasmus.
|
Yea you all are right about flemming..I think at least
I can hear the bass on every album except AJFA listen to load reload and tell me you can't hear it and yea let bob rock roll elsewere |
I don't really listen out for bass. I might do more if i was a bassist. I normally just listen to the drums or guitar.

123 Although since someone told me a while ago, i did notice there is hardly any bass in AJFA. Does anyone know why that is? It seems like something that would be done purposefully (sp)? |
Probably because Newstead was the new guy and Cliff had passed away so they probably didn't feel like putting him on the album prominantly

However, I think that if you were to take all of the bass out of the song, it would sound emptier. So it contributes without being prominent. I can't believe, for as long as this thread as been here, that I haven't posted in it once considering the huge Metallica fan that I am. As of late I've been more into hardcore, but Metallica has always been high on my list. I've been really getting into Kill 'Em All recently, it's probably my favorite album. It's so raw and probably one of Metallica's only true thrash albums. |

123 I am listening to Phantom Lord right now. I really hate to guitar tone, but i still love all the songs and just the trashy sound that lost out to the more heavy metal sound. |

What sucks though is, one has an awesome f'ing bassline, you just cant hear it. Check it out sometime. |

Yea well Metallica matured and so did the sounds
|
for the better
|
Does anyone have a good live version of Blackened and wouldnt mind uploading? I have never really heard it live all the way thru.
|
I'd Like to see Metallica remaster their older stuff by re-doing it like Megadeth but i don't see that happening.
Sorry Father Jack, I don't have Blackened Live. |
Just out of curiosity I went to mtv.com's website and I found an awesome live version of fade to black.
I couldn't download it (in order to upload it for you guys) but just go to www.mtv.com and work your way towards the metallica area. Man, James looks so much different then than he does now. |
Regulars of the thread, May I have your attention please
As you may, or may not, have noticed the ***OFFICIAL*** has been taken out of the thread title and the title itself has been changed. The Mods are willing to rename the thread accordingly if the regulars of the thread can come up with a decent name that will still make it obvious that this is the 'Tallica thread.
I just thought you guys would like to know about this. |
The Metal Militia?
|
The Metal Militia?
How 'bout "The Metallica Militia" ? |
How 'bout "The Metallica Militia" ?
That's what I was about to suggest. I think 'Metal Milita' is probably a bit too un-specific and that people would just think it was an all purpose metal thread. |
What scales does Hammet uses in his solos?
|
"Mandatory Metallica"
sounds a bit ... |
You guys should rename the thread "Metal up your Ass!"
|
"Mandatory Metallica"
sounds a bit ...
Rock1053 at 8 o' clock! I actually like the "Metallica Militia" idea. EDIT-I just noticed that most of the other Official threads if not all, have had their names changed. I've just logged on, can one of you guys explain what's with the change? |
