cell phone talk. i needz halp on choosing..
HTC EVO 3D Samsung Galaxy S2 iPhone 4S WHICH ONE?
you will never ever use 3D. if you do not know anything about 3D technology and specifically 3D mobile phones, please listen to me. I have attended lectures on this and have more than some vague idea what I'm talking about. the Galaxy S2 is pretty much considered the best smart phone around if you can afford it. features and build quality both trump any other phone on the market. iPhone is pretty much equal to an ass-rape. Apple is completely full of shit. the build quality is laughable compared to other phones in that price range. actually - everything is laughable compared to other phones in that price range. overpriced bullshit made by a company who only ever knew one thing: marketing. the only reason to buy this phone is social status - which I know is quite a big deal for a lot of people. |
the only reason i would get a smart phone is to please my inner hipster and use instagram, i could give a shit about facebook 24/7 or using google when i'm driving somewhere

shut up you insufferable faggot
smartphones are overrated if you have a computer of any kind already
and this is infinitely true. a computer will do everything the smart phone will, only better and at a better price. |

a netbook is cheaper and more powerful than a mobile phone. the only thing you might need a mobile phone for is calling old people who don't have a computer. tablets will soon be commonplace and cheap enough to warrant a purchase. they will eat a really large chunk of the smart phone market, due to their suitability for reading books and playing games. |
me 2
ya but no one carries a tablet or a netbook everywhere with them unless theyre a big nerd like christ simpson
you choose to be fucking dense just so you can satisfy your need to be a pedantic fuck
actually a very large number people - mainly students - do just exactly this. for those who prefer something somewhat smaller still, tablets will soon satisfy their wanting. |
materialism is lame ok
|
smart phones are literally only replaceable by things which do the same thing and are the same size
how do you not get this simple fucking principle you fucking idiot |
i remember when christsimpson was indietrash

tablets will replace smartphones i'm gonna quote christsimpson on this also those students are mostly also carrying smartphones |
I like how a lot of people - particularly young Americans - on the Web seem to be in agreement that,
owning things = materialism being annoyed/sad/dissatisfied/anything-other-than-grateful-and-happy-to-be-alive = first world problems |
i thought the only types of phones they sell these days are smartphones anyway
|
earnest essay response to aakon post
= deep need to be a pedantic fuk |
tablets will replace smartphones
i'm gonna quote christsimpson on this also those students are mostly also carrying smartphones
I did not say they would. I said they will eat a large chunk of the market. nowadays, like aakon_keethreh points out, "everyone" have smart phones (not me), because they are in fact the standard form of phones. however - the purpose for which they are mainly utilised, is something they are fantastically unsuited for. tablets are somewhat suitable for playing games, reading books and to a lesser extent doing "office work". thus they will conquer a fair portion of the market that smart phones currently occupy. |
i turn my phone off for days at a time then people flip out and are like "hurr hey are you alive??? i tried to text you AND call you!"
|
ok lets just make an assumption on like 300 million people
"a lot of" != all of, or even the majority of. |
"fantastically unsuited"
i wish i could make you understand how fucking dum you are like you are actually stupid |

society today has become very dependant on instant gratification. this includes in the communication process. this explains the success of social networking and mobile phones. I like neither. I prefer socialising in person. since the dawn of computer networks, or mail even, all communication which didn't occur face to face has been asynchronous. but now, we've seen a paradigm shift. |
