Im really loving the whoa part in These Colours dont Run. It makes me want to sing along every time.
Hell yes. Thats my thoughts exactly, this album is amazing I can't wait to see some of it live in December :)

"For the passion, for the glory, for the memories, for the money, your a soldier, for your country, whats the difference, all the same"
That part is so damn good.

pate 08-31-2006 09:24 AM

I'm still not ready to give it a rating, because right now it would be 5/5. After another several more listens I'll do it.

Agreed 100%.

hellrider 08-31-2006 10:56 AM
Actually, no.
Angel of Retribution had a few quality tracks on it, but it was nowhere near as good as Screaming for Vengance, Painkiller or British Steel.
A matter of life and Death is one of Maiden's best albums.
i personally like every single song on angle of retribution except from wheels of fire but i havent listend to that one alot any ill post my comments on the new iron maiden album when it arrives hopefully soon :)

JamJar 08-31-2006 12:24 PM

I really can't get enough of Brighter Than A Thousand Suns. Definitely my favourite on the album at the moment.

yeah that song kiks ***

lionelhutz88 08-31-2006 01:10 PM

My favorite at this point is either TROBB, Brighter than A Thousand Suns, or These Colours Dont Run. They change every day though.

crag 08-31-2006 01:59 PM

I really can't decide on a favourite, every song is just fantastic. I'd say at the moment TCDR is my favourite though :)

pate 08-31-2006 02:48 PM

My favorites are TROBB, BTATS, and For the Greater Good of God.

Quiksilver26 08-31-2006 03:18 PM

I don't remember if i've posted this before or not... (i think i have though) but I love The Legacy, it's just so epic. Actuallly, Longest Day too.. and For The Greater Good of God. Actually I just realized I can't just listen to a single song from the album, it always ends up in me listening to the entire thing .

pate 08-31-2006 03:41 PM

Damnit, I left out the Longest Day. I always leave out something when making a quick list.

JamJar 08-31-2006 03:42 PM

I'm becoming obsessed with this album. I've only listened to one other thing all week. My favourite songs on it keep changing.

broken_ 08-31-2006 03:42 PM

Unless they release another Virtual XI. Then I would be very dissapointed. But yeah, I can't see them making another album as bad as VXI.

Fuck dude! The person in line right infront of me got the last of them!!! I'm not that angry though, ended up getting seats right by the stage in the first row, without losing all my money :D

Just out of curiosity how much was yours?

PepsiMetal 08-31-2006 07:36 PM

Holy crap this album is amazing. Not all songs have grown on me, but they're going to soon, and fast probably.

lionelhutz88 08-31-2006 09:41 PM

I really hope it sells well. Those guys deserve it for making such a good record. I wonder if Sharon Osbourne has heard it yet??

Lord Abortion 09-01-2006 02:40 AM

The longest day is probably my favourite on there now, it's so urgent and desperate.
Although my favourite moment on the album is that riff at 1:42 on Lord of Light.

rik 09-01-2006 10:05 AM

'The Pilgrim' and 'For the Greater Good of God' are my favourite so far.

BludgeonySteve 09-01-2006 11:39 AM

So how's that new album? Good? Good +1? Good +2?

crag 09-01-2006 11:43 AM
So how's that new album? Good? Good +1? Good +2?
Good +3

Atica 09-01-2006 11:44 AM

It is good +3!!! Since the first song you can notice how great the album is going to be. My favorite songs are The Pilgrim and The Legacy.

PAJJ 09-01-2006 12:26 PM

good +4

legacy still my favourite, ohhh sooo goood, but i really do love them all, such a good album

np Out of the Shadows

Atica 09-01-2006 12:44 PM

Yeh even thought they are kind of old, they can really play. They still play amazing solos and the singer has a great voice.

PepsiMetal 09-01-2006 01:33 PM

My favorite songs from the album are different world and the pilgrim right now.

I like these colours don't run also, the intro is cool.

Lord Abortion 09-01-2006 01:35 PM

Yeah TCDR is one of my favourites, along with FTGGOG, the legacy and Longest Day.

the_uber_penguin 09-01-2006 02:01 PM

OotS is one of my favourites, mostly for that really hooky chorus. FTGGOG struck me as really good.

I don't find the Pilgrim to be one of the best on the album...maybe because all the songs after it are just amazing.

Lord Abortion 09-01-2006 02:08 PM

I love the lyrics to OOTS.

"Throw a halo round the world, golden as the day..."

Apocalyptic Raids 09-01-2006 02:16 PM

I'd say it's justgood.
