It would be easier to say which songs I don't like as much right now, and those would be [i]Wings For Marie (Part 1)[/i], I feel like [i]10, 000 Days[/i] has a big enough buildup in itself at the moment. I was sort of expecting a Parabol/a type thing here, and it never happened, so maybe thats why i'm not digging it so much right now.

[i]Intension[/i] is the other one I'm not digging too much at the moment, some parts some really pretty, but as a whole... I'm not sure right now. Everything else is either really good or growing on me.

I thought that 10 000 days was going to start heavy because of the built up from Wings for Marie. oh well.

Yeah, Intension is the weak song imo, but I know I a month or 2, I'll probably regret saying this. :p

I dont mind reading all these posts about the album actually. Everyone seems to have different views on everything

I still can't bring myself to like Vicarious and Jambi.
My favorites are Right in two and 10000 days. I love the overall bleakness and resignation of the album.

All of the songs are mostly linear. The whole album is structured classically.

Yeah i agree with shadius, wings and intension aren't great. Don't listen to wings with headphones, makes you feel ill.

The segues annoy me a bit, and i haven't familiarised myself with rosetta stoned yet but im enjoying the album more.

It's just not as in your face as any other album, it's so laid back...like d/r/t the whole way through. Except for Vicarious, Jambi and The Pot basically.

We were told it was going to be something like undertow but i see it as something off the back of lateralus atm...

I don't see Lateralus in this album besides the first two tracks.
I see this as the counterpart to Undertow in it's mood, opposite to it's anger but the same feeling. Sounds nothing like it but feeling-wise.

I also only got into Tool 2 years ago. My brother just randomly bought Lateralus, not knowing what it is.

Best decision of his life.
