I haven't posted here in a long *** while, but I was hoping one of you could hook me up.. I need a program to transfer all of my music from my ipod to my new laptop. I've already searched google, but I can only ever seem to come up with a program that will allow me to transfer one song at a time, or a very limited number of songs. A link to the download of a recommended program would be greatly appreciated.

You can transfer your songs with Winamp, I think.
|
I've also heard because I have the ipod classic that it can be treated as an external hard drive, but when I was attempting to access the required folder, it was hidden and I don't know how to expose hidden folders on vista. Irregardless, a program that did it for me would be much less work and I'll look into the winamp situation.

well you can go through and manipulate / copypaste all the individual mp3's but theyre encoded and randomly named/organized so its really not worth it. google is pretty amazing
also i said this in the good bands thread but i listened to the new del and im really disappointed |
Winamp doesn't seem like a very sound choice.
|
i use winamp to transfer songs onto my zen8gb
although i think the program plugins are kind of sketchy. it gets glitchy about trying to delete too much at once and you have to know how to plug it in and whether or not the device is turned on or not. |
I've found the majority of the more popular programs to use, but they all cost cash and the trial versions suck balls. Someone has to of had this problem in the past, hook a brother up.

Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Show hidden files and folders. I transferred the files from my iPod to my PC without a program and it wasn't too difficult. iTunes recognizes all the songs when you import them. |
I'm in My Computer currently and looking at the folder in iPod_Control entitled "Music" which according to an article I found on google is supposed to have all my music, so I went to add that folder to my library after switching my iTunes preferences to "copy files to itunes music folder when added to library" and nothing happened. Also, if I hover the mouse over the folder it says the folder is empty, but if click on the folder there are a shitload of subfolders that have the music in them.

I used Winamp to transfer songs from my iPod nano onto my computer.

Apparently winamp is known for unexplainably deleting ipod libraries, that is why I don't want to use it. |
I see.

When I install Windows again on my desktop I'm going straight back to foobar 2000.

ya it takes a lot of effort |
i assume they just have premade skins somewhere
jeff fwqhgads made a nice one that he lent to me once. i should ask for it again it's too bad that every winamp skin ever made looks gaudy because it's a nice program |

pretty much. |
"The music of CocoRosie (the band’s name is an amalgam of their mother’s nicknames for the girls) is most often categorized by critics as “freak folk,” placing the two sisters in a new wave of 20-something singer-songwriters like Devendra Banhart or the harpist Joanna Newsom, who have revived the ’70s culture of homemade authenticity with at once more wholesomeness and more joyous perversity than their elders."
sounds more like The Shaggs to me |
i downloaded an album by the Shaggs but didnt really enjoy listening to it
vocals were pretty annoying, production was bad, and the music wasnt that interesting to me on another note i partied in a teepee last night (that my friends and i built) pix soon |
read up on the history of The Shaggs. i dont think theyre supposed to be good
|
haha i read a little, thats sorta funny. yea i deleted that album a while ago
anyways heres our teepee http://members.cox.net/nickingv/0701081714.jpg you can see my boom box and our bong in there ... what a great ****in day |
a bong is NOT an acceptable substitute for a peace pipe
|
they're basically the same except people who smoke bongs usually don't live on reserves and aren't addicted to meth
|
banned on rym again
|
why do they keep banning you?
