Imogen Heap - Speak for Yourself. Surprisingly good.

Cursive - Happy Hollow. Really enjoyed this on first listen.

Orange Juice - The Glasgow School. Awesome for the most part. It has a few low points, but that is to be expected on a compilation.

Whiskeytown - Faithless Street. If it's Ryan Adams it's good.

I don't know why, but my last.fm stats just went insane. It added 94 plays to Sparklehorse, which is a decidedly untrue occurance.
PS asymm are you enjoying that Beach House thing, because I found it kind of boring. Maybe a few more listens.
Though not directed at me, gotta say it's pretty nice after a few listens, in that autumny, Mazzy Star sort of way. Not as stellar as p4k made out to be (as usual), but I wouldn't go so far as to call it boring.

asymm 10-17-2006 01:05 AM

After a couple listens, I'm not too impressed with Beach House. I'd prefer to not say boring, but so far it isn't doing well in planting a distinct impression on me. I plan on giving it more of a chance soon, but I'm too enamored with Songs of Leonard Cohen and Squarepusher's Hello Everything to bother right now.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 10-17-2006 05:06 AM

That Squarepusher album is good, that Planetarium song is really catchy

beso negro 10-17-2006 11:08 AM

The new John Legend album is fantastic. Everyone must get this when it comes out.

Otherwise gtfokthx.
