Lod, I'm going to sell my rackmount noisegate thingy, probably get £100+ for it, ut it'll leave 1 space free in my rack, and I can't be bothered to but the blank space filler thing back in. Wut shud I bye?
People who say they are ___-American are talking about ethnicity not nationality. The only people who are ethnically American are Native Americans, the rest of us are just Americans nationality wise. If I gave up my US citizenship and moved to Sweden to live for the rest of my life I'd be Swedish from a nationality standpoint but I'd never be ethnically Swedish.
yep
are you actually english? i mean, at all

or are you doing what seemingly most yanks do and claim to be a nationality based on the fact a great grand parent lived in said country

like, theres some douche in the general forum who says he's polish, even though he was born in the US and his parents were born in the US.

and wtf is up with so many yanks saying theyre irish wtf
parents and pretty much all my family that i've tracked back in my high school family tree project several years ago are from england/europe. i was born in the US, but lived in wales for several years, hopefully moving back there after i graduate from college
see wtf is this 'irish american'

theyre iether american, or theyre irish, theyre not inbetween

you'd only refer to yourself in terms of 'mixture' when youre talking race, like if your parents were different

you dont dub yourself half irish because 8 generations ago one person in your family was born in ireland

then again i wouldnt expect yanks to make use of logic
Just because most people are bad at math doesn't mean they're dumb... oh wait, yeah I guess it does. Point being, if they really think they're half irish because 8 generations ago one person was born in Ireland (which honestly if say you're parents were both French, moved to Ireland, and you were born that pretty much makes you of French decent not irish) then they are an idiot.

I'm essentially 1/4 Italian, because my Grandmother (though born in the states) was a pure-blood Italian. Both of her parents were from Italy, had a few kids over there and moved to the U.S. then had more (12 kids total). Though honestly I don't even refer to myself as "Italian-American", or any non-sense like that. I generally believe that an Italian-American is one who is born in Italy and moves to America, or even as far as dual citizenship (though if they were born in the states I'd say they were American-Italian -- yes, it sounds dumb).

Though I have had people just go, "OH! That is why you have a 'roman' nose!" When I tell them I have Italian blood. So it isn't like physical traits may not be passed through the blood. Of course I always kid I'm a mix of the bad guys from WW II, though I exclude Japan here, because I know I have Italian blood on my Father's side and on my mother's side there is a German last name. Though my Grandmother (O.K., so tech. this is "Grandmother" and my father's mother is "Nana", but I call them both Grandmother) has traced her family history back to the American Civil War with no relatives coming from outside the U.S. that she mentioned to me.

Though my original point for posting, why do you call Americans "Yanks"? I mean, southerners call northerners that (short for Yankee of course). So you call some one from Alabama or something a yank and they'll be 'bout ready to pull out their sawed off 12-gauge and put some holes in ya.

I should really proof read my damn posts, before I post them. I'll just leave the horrible grammatical errors.

Why can't I write like happy shit? Like, every song I've ever written was either like depressing relationship crap or end of the world disaster crap. Which isn't exactly depressing, but lets just say the majority of my writing focuses on the negative.

I wrote a song about "lemon drops and candy floss" and "lemonade river and a chocolate stream" before. It's awesome.

Downloaded Bruno, and downloading Zombie Land and Pirate Radio. Just watching like the first ten minutes before I go to sleep. This may actually be good past the tons of penis which it apparently contains.

i just downloaded torchlight, heard it was fun so i am gonna give it a try.

i thought zombieland was pretty good. previews made it look like some stupid kid movie, but its not.

Left Face Down 11-24-2009 04:18 PM

So I'm just like skimming through Bruno, I couldn't watch it straight through. I mean, some of these scenes crack me up and then others make me want to shoot myself. Though this big breasted Pam Anderson wanna be dom trying to rape Bruno is cracking me up.

I'm so odd, but we already know that. Bell-ringers outside Wal-mart with their Christmas hats on saying, "have a merry Thanksgiving." I kind of find it oddly funny, but what was better is when some one said "thank you" in a rather strong Canadian accent. I mean, they probably think we are all stupid, but they have to remember we think they are all stupid.

... sad fact of the matter is it was a rather hot girl (with a second hot girl).

Zombieland is a good movie, sadly Pirate Radio was a scam... friggin 700 Mb download and it is like you must download our movie player to watch our video. Bastards... wasting my time. Though tomorrow I'm going home for Thanksgiving, can we say Cable internet not shared over the spectrum of an apartment complex?

Ok, tech. my apartment complex has a T1 line spread over it, but you get the point.

Modern Iconoclast 11-24-2009 09:25 PM

Evening lod. My guitar is usually tuned pretty low, B and C# most of the time, so I use 12 gauge strings. I've always noticed that when I tune that low octaves sound weird and going to or from notes on the G string just sounds off even though the guitar is in tune. So I want to try using a wound G string to see if that sounds better. If I'm using a 12 gauge set what gauge should the wound string I use for the G be?
