Amazing in so many ways. They haven't had one bad album, including the Shabutie years. IKSOSE:3 is suckage compared to the rest of their stuff, but it's still a good album. The first three tracks are so perfectly put together, on Good Apollo. Willing Well I: Fuel For the Feeding End is my favorite Coheed track. Good Apollo and Second Stage are probably in my top ten albums list.

Yes, I am posting a Myspace, but Claudio has "reopened" his acoustic side project with 3 new songs on there to stream. Also, he will soon be releasing a record under this name, titled My Brother's Blood Machine, which I can't wait for.

Mute Print 11-11-2005 01:27 PM

Those songs sound awesome. I can't wait for the album.

Kif 11-11-2005 01:28 PM

Right I need to rip these and keep them along with their other 1 song and 3 demos on repeat.

Kif 11-11-2005 01:40 PM

http://prizefight.servemp3.com/

You can get them all these in MP3 (RapidShare links though, the worst link on the Internet ever!)

I love "The Margretville Town Dance", it reminds me of Final Fantasy for some reason.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-11-2005 02:49 PM

Sweet Kif thanks.

oathfbass 11-11-2005 03:04 PM

What do you'll think Coheed is going to do after they finish making their story albums?

DepthsOfDreams555 11-11-2005 03:05 PM

It was in the AP magazine interview. Claudio says that they have two more albums to go and if the band wants to quit then they will quit but if they feel like playing more music then he has a story already kind of planned out that will feed right off of the Coheed and Cambria storyline.

Kif 11-11-2005 03:06 PM

Either make another story, or split up. Although after that amount of time together, I honestly can't see them splitting.

Mute Print 11-11-2005 03:07 PM

I hope they don't split up. That would not be cool.

so its a sequel,eh,i hope it doenst suck lost most sequels do

Kif 11-11-2005 03:16 PM
so its a sequel,eh,i hope it doenst suck lost most sequels do
Haha, I can imagine that, the story is really crappy and all their fans revolt and get them to play their older stuff at gigs.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-11-2005 03:20 PM

That would be so stupid. If the music is good it shouldn't effin matter what the storyline brings. It is cool to have it but they are a band not a bunch of authors.

Kif 11-11-2005 03:25 PM

Yeah but I imagine there are Coheed fans who are more addicted to the storyline than the music.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-11-2005 03:30 PM

Ya I know and that just makes me laugh because they are stupid.

Kif 11-11-2005 03:48 PM

You know what I've been wondering? The albums all are centred around like themes and certain parts of the story, right? So what about the b-sides and stuff? "Elf Tower, New Mexico", "Cassiopeia" and "Nauraushaun"?

DepthsOfDreams555 11-11-2005 03:51 PM

Ya I know I'm not sure there are explanations for those but I couldn't tell you off the top of my head but I know I have read something about them. Also I was thinking it would be cool on stage if Claudio was like Hehe Shabutie. haha

Kif 11-11-2005 03:53 PM

Haha I bet he did that at their older gigs. Would've been funny to watch.

Yeah, it's annoying sometimes because I listen to the lyrics and think "OK, where does this fit into the story... dammit!" then I get confused and leave it alone.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-11-2005 04:20 PM

Ya I can't piece stuff together myself I just read about it haha.

Mute Print 11-11-2005 04:28 PM

I have no clue about the story. I've never even taken the time to read about.

Fish 11-11-2005 04:59 PM

Now with the 3rd album im so lost in the story, but i saw them on wed. and they were amazing! probably the second best concert I've been to, after Green Day ;)

cobert 11-11-2005 06:23 PM

/Is a nerd that follows the story

-Elf Power-
Elf power was originally supposed to be in place of everything evil. Claudio decided to write a different story in place of Elf Power, and cut it from the CD. He said its a dead storyline, and shouldnt be taken into consideration when trying to figure out the story.

-Cassiopeia-
I dont think this song is part of a story, but a seperate song on its own.

In mythology Cassiopeia was the wife of the ethiopian king of joppa. She promised her daughter to marry perseus (the warrior who killed medusa) and before the ceremony could take place, she had second thoughts. She ordered one of neptunes sons to stop the wedding. He brought an army to the ceremony, and a battle ensued. Using medusas head, perseus won the battle by turning them all to stone. Neptune put cassiopeia into the heavens, but made her sit on a chair on the pole star, so she would have to sit upside down half of the time. Still, the lyrics are vague and dont connect much (seemingly) to the myth.

-Nauraushaun-
All ive learned about this is that Nauraushaun is a town in Rockland county, New York, which is near Nyack (Coheed's hometown). Again....the lyrics dont seem to relate much to the title.

Today I went to the mall and got this.Of course, I look much better in it than that guy. :p
My bro got this.
I was close to getting the graphic novel, but my parents wouldn't get it because of the PA sticker. They would rather spend $45 dollars on a hoodie than $15 on something that will "mess up my mind".

/:rolleyes:

Mute Print 11-11-2005 09:32 PM

That hoodie is sweet. $45 is kind of crazy for a sweatshirt, but it's still awesome.

The shirt is pretty cool looking too.

Gnarmageddon 11-11-2005 09:38 PM

The stuff at Hot Topic is insanely overpriced, but those shirts are still badarse.

DJ Ducksauce 11-11-2005 10:05 PM

Yeah it is. If you're lucky to find something good on the clearance rack, you can get some pretty cheap stuff sometimes.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-12-2005 07:32 AM

Thanks Cobert for that info on those songs I couldn't remember anything about those. AZN, ya I have that zip-up I got it at the concert and I have that shirt too I bought that at Hot Topic I also have this cool zip-up with a girl and she is in like an oval picture frame and its kind of like melting and shes in the middle with her knee up over her face and her arm is hanging over her knee its pretty cool.
Now with the 3rd album im so lost in the story, but i saw them on wed. and they were amazing! probably the second best concert I've been to, after Green Day
The new album really isn't that hard to understand once you understand the transitions that it makes, cause I was lost at first but now I get it.
Didn't they let you get the album with the sticker on it?

EDIT: The PA sticker isn't even that big of a deal there are like 3 f words and some swearing here and there, it isn't that bad you should get it.

oathfbass 11-12-2005 10:33 AM

Whats the 3rd album basically about? It seems to me he doenst like ewwo that much.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-12-2005 10:33 AM

Newo is out of Claudio's life I think that she cheated on him or something but I don't know if you kno the concept of the writer. Do you? Gimmie an answer here haha.

oathfbass 11-12-2005 10:37 AM

Nope,.....what does the album title mean?does it have something to do with the monstar virus thing? "from fear through the eyes of madness", and the "good apollo im burning star 4" is that an action?meaning hes actually burning a star?

DepthsOfDreams555 11-12-2005 10:50 AM

Alright well God is The Writer (The Writing Writer) and The Writer in reality is a human just like me and you and he is writing the story of Coheed and Cambria. This is first introduced in this album and the album is taking you through what happens to The Writer as he seeks to end his story and Claudio as what to do as The Crowing. The Writer actually has taken his story and based what happens in his life on the story that he is writing. Erica Court is The Writers old girlfriend and she cheated on him so Newo I guess cheated on Claudio, but Ambellina represents the good part of love and Claudio loves Ambellina.

During this album The Writer is tryin to end his story because it is causing him to much stress and to help him do this his sub-consience(I can never spell this word) is Ten Speed and he is a bike. Ten Speed says that if The Writer kills Ambellina and takes her out of the story then he will be freed from it and he won't be burdened anymore, but he doesn't want to kill her. Meanwhile on the ship Grail Arbor, Claudio and Jesse land on a Omega and are attacked by The Red Army. Jesse is killed and his I-Robot Chase goes insane or something. Then towards the end The Writer finally enters the world of his story and kills off Ambellina. Then Claudio is like going crazy and then The Writer tells Claudio that he is The Crowing and that he is "Burning Star IV" now I haven't been on Cobalt in a while but I am pretty sure we are not sure exactly what that means. In my opinion all the planets are orbiting around Star IV now because of the seperation of Sector 12 and when Claudio "burns" Star IV he is basically destroying everything but I am not sure.

I just kind of gave you a basic overview there are a lot more details and stuff but go to Hot Topic and buy the Graphic Novel and go to CobaltandCalcium.com to get more on the story. Hope this helped some.

In the song 2:from fear through the eyes of madness it says:

"with your last breath of air
as the earth comes trembling down
would you give her this last night
and give up your life
no one runs faster than you can
no one runs faster than you
no one runs faster than you eat
to the end with you... to the end with you"

so could this be after he burns star 4 and ambelinna is dead?

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 11-12-2005 12:00 PM

I recall a time in which I saw a shirt at Hot Topic that was $20 and then I went to a show and saw the same shirt for $5.

Fish 11-12-2005 12:05 PM

really? when i went and saw coheed and cambria the shirts there were like $30

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 11-12-2005 12:10 PM

Really? The first time I saw them (warped) I got a shirt for $15. The second time (in october) I got a shirt for $12.

oathfbass 11-12-2005 03:17 PM

O ok,why would he tell his dog that he is burning it?Apollo must have some key roll in the book, since you hear him bark at the end of the album.
