we have a locally owned grocery store which is way more hipster and also too expensive for me to shop at

Trader Joes is cheaper for a lot of stuff, better than Safeway or QFC (Kroger) and other large grocery stores, it also has generally healthier/higher quality stuff so it's kind of a win/win.

Why are you always so upset?

the last few weeks have been the most frustrating period i have ever lived. the discharge process is so painfully slow, not because that's the way it is but rather those above you who make it happen tend to ignore you and leave you waiting and waiting for them to get off their arse and do the next step, all the while you get hopes of it moving forward constantly dashed because they won't do anything.

and the worst thing about is that you cannot complain one single bit because they are a higher rank than you and so they can do whatever the hell they want.

case in point today - all 6 of us, rooms completely packed up, finally had what we thought was the last interview this morning. then, we had to wait indefinitely for the platoon commander to show up at his office, hoping to be sent away immediately. after waiting for 5 hours for the final goodbye we get told there's another pointless interview to be had that will happen tomorrow.

i fucking hope

It's pretty bad in the US too, one of my friends got discharged from the Army because of injury and it took them months to finalize all his shit when all he could really do is hang out in his room playing video games and drink.

besides, my being here is pretty much irrelevant to how long i'll carry on getting paid for. just ocne i get out i can start living a normal life again rather than basically being imprisoned....
