I work an 8 hour shift and already get paid 4.5 of those hours to sit and read.
I'm currently at work. 8.5 hours so far.

I'm pretty sure MX has been 90% of it. :D

We are like the same person, but in different countries.

And I have a cuter butt.

Sorry.

So spiff is it a coincidence that this place went dead once you became mod or what?

I might start taking my guitar into work. We've started recording and I need to be on top of my game.
So spiff is it a coincidence that this place went dead once you became mod or what?
It was already dying when I became a mod. I took the position because no one else was modding... and I hardly have done anything as a mod. Which is about as much as any other mod did. I tried a few competitions and things to try and keep the place going, but nothing worked so I just let it die.
Bass Swede, I think I remember you. I was fairly n00by back in the day, so we probably didn't converse much, but welcome back to MF, dawg.
I sure remember you and your spermy avatar. We'll se for how long I stay, I have an essay to write this month and a lot of partying to do. :smoke:

You all could check out my current band. http://www.myspace.com/themintgunclub

BenJammin 05-06-2009 04:57 PM

hai guys

Back from Montreal/Quebec City.

Spaceman Spiff 05-06-2009 05:12 PM

How was the trip?

BenJammin 05-06-2009 05:17 PM

Good, but pretty exhausting. I spent 7 days straight doing nothing but walking for 8-10 hours a day. My body isn't used to it, haha. Did some shopping, saw some sights, got to meet up with Jesse.

Yeah, that's brutal when you're not used to it. I got used to doing it all the time last summer at my awful job. I remember how dead my legs were after my first day of walking/running around for 10 hours. I could hardly move the next day.

How was hanging with Jesse? Was it strange awkward at all? I'm sure, even if it were, it would get comfortable quickly enough as you guys were getting your drank on.

Yeah, I haven't worked since last year, so my body isn't used to doing much.

Hanging with Jesse was rad. It was strange at first, but we got over it really quickly. We've talked enough over the past few years to have an idea of what the other is like, anyway. We just chilled in a park and had some beer. It was a great time. I've got some pictures I'll upload at some point.

Spaceman Spiff 05-06-2009 05:38 PM

I see. Sounds pretty fun.

I haven't really done anything exciting lately. As I said, we've finally actually started recording the new album.
And there are a few concerts coming up that I'll be going to, which I always enjoy. A friend's band is playing on May 15, Animal Collective is on May 16, Pearl Jam on August 21, I'll probably be going to see CKY in June, TV On The Radio is also here at the beginning of June. Some good stuff coming up.

BenJammin 05-06-2009 05:40 PM

TV On The Radio will be a good show. Not really a big fan of any of the others. I downloaded Animal Collective's last album, but couldn't get into it.

Yeah, TV On The Radio is incredible live. I saw them in 2007 when they toured for Return To Cookie Mountain.

I'd recommend you check out Strawberry Jam by Animal Collective. I really prefer it to the new one.

Tell me what you think of this song, at least. Easily one of my favorites by them.

My first day of work is now complete. The hardest part was biking there and back.

BenJammin 05-06-2009 05:52 PM

Eh, not too bad. I like it, but not enough to pursue anything else.

How was it?

I just got home a few hours ago.
Eh, not too bad. I like it, but not enough to pursue anything else.
Fair enough.

I am very excited for the concert, I must say. Something tells me it will be lots of fun.

I thought you were leaving on Sunday?

It was pretty alright, so far its easy enough, and time passed pretty quickly.
Being able to choose when I come in is pretty fantastic too.

We left Montreal on Sunday, but then we were in Quebec City until this morning.

I look like I hate you.

BenJammin 05-06-2009 06:10 PM
I look like I hate you.
I look fat.

I'd say it's even.

Spaceman Spiff 05-06-2009 06:10 PM

What the hell? Jesse with short hair and facial hair?

I didn't think the rumours were true!!
I look fat.

Your face does look a bit chubby... but it looks good on you. :D

BenJammin 05-06-2009 06:13 PM

I'm not actually chubby. :upset:

Spaceman Spiff 05-06-2009 06:17 PM
I'm not actually chubby. :upset:
Your head just looks really weird in that picture.

I've never seen it look like that before, so I'll go ahead and assume it's just a trick of the camera.

BenJammin 05-06-2009 06:19 PM

Yeah, I'll also agree with that.

Also: poutine with hot dogs in it. Absolute brilliance.

(not my image, but I ate it. Twice.)

Spaceman Spiff 05-06-2009 06:21 PM

Dear lord. I don't know whether I should drool or vomit.

BenJammin 05-06-2009 06:25 PM

It was so good. I can't even begin to describe how awesome of a combination it is.

BenJammin 05-06-2009 06:26 PM

Also, because I am immensely mature, phallic cactuseseses:
