If someone is interested in a electronic/ambient tape, rep me your address and I'll send the tape to you (free of charge of course). Definitely not my type of music, and I'd rather have someone enjoy it than it sitting on my desk for ages to come. It's kind of cool; really distant with pretty cool percussion. Not my thing though.

Artist is Alchem.

LifeInABox 10-28-2007 12:34 AM

I tryed to enjoy a Moevot album I had today again, it's just impossible for me to do it.

Angmar 10-28-2007 12:34 AM

I'll take it! I'm looking for good ambient anyways.

LifeInABox 10-28-2007 12:35 AM

You gotta pay fo yah shipping!
I'll take it! I'm looking for good ambient anyways.
All right. I'll send it Monday or Tuesday.

Angmar 10-28-2007 12:37 AM

Cool, now a use for my cassette player :p

Tyler 10-28-2007 12:44 AM

Come on, paperweight is a use!

Silenius 10-28-2007 12:46 AM

Yeah, that's true. The only tape that I have that's put to use is Ravel's Bolero lol.

Angmar 10-28-2007 01:02 AM

Is Drowning the Light worth checking out?

dUSK 10-28-2007 01:07 AM

Drowning the Light is worth a look.

http://goatowarex.org/sound.html for two tracks if you wish to sample before getting a full album.

EDIT: The excerpt from Austere's full length on that page has me hanging for their album as well. Sounds like it's going to be great.

Silenius 10-28-2007 01:10 AM

I just got Kampfar - Fra Underverdenen, pretty good so far, better than the first full length.

Angmar 10-28-2007 01:16 AM

The first full length from Kampfar is my favorite from them :P I wanna here the EP sometime. I'm downloading more Belketre atm, since their side of the spit with Vlad Tepes ruled.

FatalEnergy 10-28-2007 01:55 AM

I've always preferred Vlad Tepes.

NP: Call for the Exorcist

Silenius 10-28-2007 01:56 AM

I have every Belketre/Chapel of Ghouls/Zelda release available, I'd say March to the Black Holocaust is the best. Also, I have the EP of Kampfar on the same cd as I have the reissue. :p

SezoShawn 10-28-2007 07:00 AM

What's Kampfor like? I'm pretty new to black metal, any good recommendations?

-SezoShawn

Stormrider 10-28-2007 07:41 AM

I have Kampfar's self titled EP, and the last time I listened to it, it wasn't that great unfortunately. Is there later stuff better?

EDIT: I'm relistening to thje Kampfar EP, and it's better then it was last time.
I have every Belketre/Chapel of Ghouls/Zelda release available, I'd say March to the Black Holocaust is the best
For Pre-BelketreI've heard one Chapel Of Ghouls release, and it doesn't even compare to March of the Black Holocaust.

RetiredAt21 10-28-2007 10:11 AM

Has anyone heard Gestapo 666's new album?

AA-12 10-28-2007 10:18 AM

Damn I missed free Alchem :(

Totenkrieg 10-28-2007 01:07 PM

Drowning the Light is shitty melancholic stuff that has been done 1000's of times. The first few Gehenna releases are pretty good.

Angmar 10-28-2007 01:16 PM

I listened to the sample and it seemed average to me, I think I will give them a pass.

Silenius 10-28-2007 01:27 PM
What's Kampfor like? I'm pretty new to black metal, any good recommendations?

-SezoShawn
Pretty much typical riff-based drums/guitar/vocals/bass metal, with a lot of black influence and some pagan influences as well. Worth a try, if you're new to black metal, this is easily one of the more accessible bands.

FatalEnergy 10-28-2007 01:35 PM
anyone like gehenna
