Try the Symphony X website, they host about 6 songs, if you wanna give them a sample. Dunno about the albums tho.

DVG.

MarkOsullivan 06-15-2005 04:04 AM

I've been listening to a bit of Rob Zombie lately (Devil Man, Demon speeding Dracula) can anyone reccommend me any more songs by him?

Cheers.

Stoic 06-15-2005 04:20 AM
Are they recommendations for me?
Yup and as far as Symphony X are concerned, my current favourite album is The Odyssey

I own three symphony X albums.

I reccomend their first one- Divine Wings of Tragedy, Unforunately I've lost it.. But It's definately a great cd, and personally I think it blows the others away.

But I've realized if it's a Symphony X cd you can't really go wrong.

Yeah white Zombie are cool. Electric Head pt 1 and 2 are great tunes.

Any White zombie songs would be appriciated.

Also any Scorpions, anything from John Petrucci's solo album or Anything from Dio would be great.

Cheers.

Techical Difficulties...

Someone recommend me Fear Factory.

AA-12 06-15-2005 08:23 PM

Hey Mathias. I would suggest Archetype, but then again, it's the only album I have from them. It's quite good IMO though.

Anyway, can someone suggest me some good middle eastern metal?

I really like Breakdowns in songs. It is my favorite part of any song. So, can anybody Recommend me bands with breakdowns in almost all their songs? I would prefer metal, metal core, hard rock, thrash metal. Thank you

beatyourheartout 06-16-2005 01:03 AM

So, I was wondering, who knows some good Spiral Architect songs? I have Insect, that's all I've heard but that song is awesome :D love it.. so yeah, any songs would be appreciated.

Laura_P 06-16-2005 01:33 AM

I'd like to recommend to you all a Mexican goth/doom/black metalband called 'the Legion of Hetheria'. They have played with bands such as Epica and After Forever. Look at their website! www.hetheria.com

Superheros and Loud And Clear are good.

Can anyone recommend me some good Power Metal?

ArcLite 06-16-2005 06:06 AM

Some essential power metal albums:

Blind Guardian - Nightfall In Middle Earth
Demons & Wizards - S/T
Angra - Rebirth
Edguy - Hellfire Club
Hammerfall - Glory To The Brave
Helloween - Keeper Of The Seven Keys Pt. 1/2
Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes, Horror Show
Rhapsody - Dawn Of Victory

Those should give you a good taste of the different styles of power metal.

You can't forget Dragonforce's two albums. They are the best power metal out there IMO.

Two questions:

1. I found Napalm Death's "Bootlegged In Japan" for $5. Worth it?

2. What is the best Death album to get first?
