They did not announce any other dates, but The Aquabats have put up some dates that they are touring, and also let slip that some of the dates would be with Streetlight Manifesto. All of the shows they're doing have either Streetlight Manifesto and No Trigger or Whole Wheat Bread and The Aggrolites on them.
you can see the (incomplete) tour list here. http://www.theaquabats.com/news/news_tour.html I'm pretty bummed out there's no Wisconsin date yet, but I can always hope. I'm going to try to get one state over, but I'm not sure If I can get a ride.
Nice! The Aquabats, Whole Wheat Bread and The Aggrolites are coming to Chicago! Yet no Streetlight. :( |
Fucking score!!!! I was just about to come on here and ask if it was really true that SM was going to be playing with the Aquabats since SM's website said their only set show was that festival.

May, 16 2006 at The Catalyst Not Available, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 Cost: Time: 8:00pm w/ Streetlight Manifesto & No Trigger
EDIT: Ah yes, I forgot the actual question. I checked ticketmaster and they don't seem to have any plans for these shows. How and where would I be able to get tickets then? |
I got given a free legit copy of the new Streetlight album the other day. Meaning I don't have to buy one and yet I don't feel guilty, wahey! ;)

The only bands at Bamboozle worth paying any money at all to see are Streetlight, AFI, and Strike Anywhere. Well, maybe not AFI, since the crowd will be idiot scene kids adorned with black nail polish, but SM and SA are worth seeing.
|
Paint it Black too.
|
I haven't listened to them. What do they sound like, and are they worth downloading?
|
id see stretch arm strong too.
i decided today that i like everything goes numb better than keasby nights so i like streetlight more than catch 22. |

But that's not exactly hard with that line-up. |
Guys, any idea when tickets are going to go on sell for the Aquabats/Streetlight tour?
|
Is there any difference at all between Tickmaster and Tickets West?
And I've never heard the aquabats, are they good? EDIT: I found tickets to the show in my city by looking at the website of the club they're playing at. I'd look for that. |

Seeing Streetlight Manifesto alone would be enough to satisfy me though. Hmmm I'll have to look at the venues website, thanks. |
Yeah, also try Tickets West instead of Ticketmaster. So...
The aquabats dress up in costumes? |

I bought Streetlight Manifesto Presents Keasby Nights today. Theres an interesting blurb on the first page of the booklet.
There is absolutely no way of explaining the existence of the record you now hold in your hands without somehow offending, infuriating, confusing, or alienating certain parties, so we won't even try. Please enjoy this for what it is.
|

The aquabats dress up in costumes?
yeah they all dress up the same. its pretty goofy. they also have villians come up on stage which are also in rediculous costumes. just go to their website or google images and look at them. its a good show. |

hey! I love AFI! My nails are French manicured, not black, and I dress way too boyish (see photo at left) to be a scene kid. |

Ok, I over-generalized a little. But you must admit that the crowd will not be the same as it would at an AFI show a few years ago. |
nope it won't be at all.
|
yeah....a lot less hardcore kids....though the new cd is supposed to have a lot of similarities so SYMAOYE so the hardcore kids may come back
|
When is it comming out?
|
6/6/6. It's to be called Decemberunderground (one word), and the first single, Miss Murder, will be released 25/4, filming for the music video occuring in early April.

Who the hell is playing bass for Streetlight nowadays? Because he sure as hell ****ed up Walking Away, and I'm not happy.
|
Dude I bet you're a lot better than whoever it is.
|
Chris something...

...That wasn't the point. I know the guy is a good bass player. I'm just pissed that, by simply changing one or two things around or adding a note in here or there, it totally wrecked what was, in my opinion, a damn-near-perfect bass intro. 'Atta way to be quick with the smart-ass comment, though. :thumb: |

i think thats a stupid way to look at it. personally, i was dissapointed that not enough was changed. as much as i like the c22 one, i was excited to hear what changes would be made. |
Who the hell is playing bass for Streetlight nowadays? Because he sure as hell ****ed up Walking Away, and I'm not happy.
I really don't think he did anything bad on the intro at all. What didn't you like about it? Just a few added notes? |
I really don't think he did anything bad on the intro at all. What didn't you like about it? Just a few added notes?
Yeah, it just totally messed with the whole "feel" (for lack of a better word) of it. I mean, where did the cool bends and other instances of bass sexiness go? Perhaps I'm being way too critical (probably), but I just thought that the original was perfect. And I agree with JR. I was looking for some nice changes, like new lyrics or different horn parts. And, like you, I was somewhat disappointed in that department. It just so happens that one change they did make was on my favorite song. Oh, well, guess beggars can't be choosers, right? |
the ultimate question now is...
when is there going to be an album of new material? probably wont get a straight answer for a little while still. |
