I wonder how Frederik (last name here) is coming along.
I need to get some D+W... if they sound like Iced earth that's good enough for me
Like I said, they sound more like Iced Earth, but they still don't compare to Iced Earth. Who knows though, maybe you'll enjoy it more so than I did. |
Okay, I need some help here. I have an mp3 of Bloody Masquerade by Human Fortress, but apparently being a bonus track for the Japanese release means that no one outside of Japan has made even the slightest attempt to figure out the lyrics.
I've tried about 5 Google searches to try and track down the lyrics and come up empty-handed. The lyrics aren't even available on the band's website, and Metal Archives is still down so it's no good turning there. Does anyone have the lyrics to this song? It's driving me nuts that I can't find them anywhere. |
I suppose they appeal more to Iced Earth fans since Jon builts the structure.
Here are some new BG song titles: Carry the Blessed Home The Edge In Search for the Lionheart Market Square Another Strange Me Otherland /wishes BG wont sell out |
Blind Guardian is really hit or miss for me...
I seem to be favoring their newer stuff older their older. I have Somewhere Far Beyond (courtesy of Ollie :D ) and various other mp3s. I still have yet to fully appreciate Somewhere Far Beyond. However, Battlefield I immediately got into, and now I'm addicted to that song. |
Can anyone upload a full album of Elvenking? Enormous gratitude and internet love to the uploader.

How come you cant figure out the lyrics? |
There are a couple parts of the verses I can't understand. Jioti's voice isn't high enough in the mix to keep the word from blending in.

Blind Guardian grow on you in a magical way.

Like toe fungus? :p I've been listening to more folky metal recently...maybe I'll give SFB another spin. |
Blind Guardian grow on you in a magical way.
Most power metal bands do for me.It always takes a few listens to really enjoy. It is definately my favorite genre for that sole reason, because once I fully soak everything in, and let the music grow on me, it's pure nirvana.Like Falconer, when I first heard The Coronation I couldn't like it because of his overly pompous voice. But after about five listens, I couldn't stop listening to it BECAUSE of his voice.Ahh the majestic wonder that is power metal. |

If anyone does undergo the task of this, put in the Folk/Viking Metal Thread too :)
Blind Guardian is really hit or miss for me... "Battlions of Fear", "Follow the Blind" and "Tales From the Twilight World" are three of my favorites. I must add "Somehwere Far Beyond" in that list as well. Really, I'm obsessed with every BG album other than "Imaginations From the Other Side", and I'm still yet to hear "A Night At the Opera". |

I can upload Elvenking's latest cd Wyrd later on tonight. It will take awhile as I have terrible internet but I'll start it up in a few hours and go do something else. |

so you liked Elvenking, ha? :)
|
I've got the chorus of Bloody Masquerade at least.
There's nothing proud in this bloody masquerade We're not warriors from Hell who died for dominion Pestilence burns like a demon blade As the hearts of evil tear apart The lands of mortal man Black steed rides across battlefields |
listening to the mp3 now...
|
I've got bits and pieces of the verses, but there's still so much to figure out. Part of it is Jioti's German accent throws you off.

I can see... I will have another few goes but... :( |
haha this song's awesome, I feel like singing along with the chorus whenever I hear it. Well, I decided to take a shot at this, and I'm missing two parts. I'm hoping those might have been the parts that someone else might havefigured out, so I'll post what I have anyway.
Don't let your hearts be against us, Cause if you have pity on us Before God will have mercy unto you Forgiven all upon you do, Your guiding hand through coming days in war. If you call us brothers, You are not have to disdain even though we were killed Chorus Watch them shed too many tears, When you find you're spending the !%$#^*#@%?? But they lay between bodies burned, Battered, shattered and broken, Over corpses once had spoken Freezing ice cold full moon *** hand and holy fist Distant hills shrouded in sheaths of mist It's nothing more than a bloody masquerade.... I'm pretty sure about most of it. Some of it might not make too much sense, but then again it doesn't sound like english is Jioti's first language. I might be completely off though, and corrections are muchly appreciated. |
chorus
there's nothing proud on this bloody masquerade we were not riders from hell who died for dominion pestilence burns like a deamon blade as the horns of freedom tear apart the rites of mortal man black seed rise across battlefield the first bit sounds like "lives like this blood company" and the second word sounds like "hunts" I think that's what it is anyway and it should be battered, "slaughtered" and broken not "shattered" I think |
ooh no, I didn't put the chorus because steerpike already figured it out.
By the way...for that one line I got: As the hearts of fealty depart, The ranks of mortal man |
