 They're basically why YDload was put on this earth. I'm listening to that four disc set Factory Records put out to prevent themselves from going unders like a decade ago, Palatine. It failed, but it's awesome still. |

Spoon - Girls Can Tell
Magazine - Real Life Magazine - The Correct Use of Soap The Correct Use of Soap is so good. I probably like it more than Real Life, actually. Which is saying something, because Real Life is awesome. |
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
Almost as good as Laughing Stock. |
The Oxford Collapse - Remember the Night Parties
My second time through this album and I like it a whole heluva lot. Anyone know anything about these guys? Any other good albums? |
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden

Yessss! Just picked it up today:
Robert Pollard - Normal Happiness |
^Isn't that his second album this year?? I'm not even done listening to From a Compound Eye. That boy's been busy.
|
Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies
King Crimson - Lark's Tongues in Aspic |
Killer Mike - I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind
His 2-cd album bootleg thingie. Pretty cool, negative points for using a "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" sample. Or maybe... bonus points. Good MC. |
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030

hahah |
I've been listening to Sigur Ros's Agaetis Byrjun a whole lot lately. Fantastic CD.
|
I'm considering taking back a lot of what I've previously said about Destroyer. Turns out, these guys are pretty decent on third or so listen. I've listened to Rubies, Notorious Lightning and Other Works, and now Streethawk: A Seduction today and sort of see what everyone was talking about. But not quite.
|
I've only heard Rubies and his New Pornographers stuff but I really like it.
|
Thing is, I can't stand the P0rnos, but this stuff is pretty cool. I like the EP he did with Frog Eyes a lot.
|
went to Amoeba in San Fran yesterday and got
Pharrell - In My Mind meh Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die sweet they were cheap though |
