YDload 10-10-2006 06:50 PM
"King of Pain" and "Every Breath You Take" are good tunes. Even "Mother" is cool. Do I need Synchronicity?
one of the best thread titles i ever read on SA was "Eazy-E got AIDS from fucking The Police"

Tangy zizzle 10-10-2006 07:17 PM

Nope. I couldn't care less where he stole it from, so yeaaahhh..
Oh God, lame music jokes.
 They're basically why YDload was put on this earth.

I'm listening to that four disc set Factory Records put out to prevent themselves from going unders like a decade ago, Palatine. It failed, but it's awesome still.

Spoon - Girls Can Tell
Magazine - Real Life
Magazine - The Correct Use of Soap

The Correct Use of Soap is so good. I probably like it more than Real Life, actually. Which is saying something, because Real Life is awesome.

Zebra 10-10-2006 09:11 PM

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden

Almost as good as Laughing Stock.

mr_jackalope 10-10-2006 09:35 PM

Spirit of Eden sucks in my opinion.

asymm 10-10-2006 10:46 PM

Yessss! Just picked it up today:

Robert Pollard - Normal Happiness

Happymeal 10-10-2006 11:21 PM

^Isn't that his second album this year?? I'm not even done listening to From a Compound Eye. That boy's been busy.

FUnkarockadrummer 10-10-2006 11:31 PM

Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies
King Crimson - Lark's Tongues in Aspic

Robert Crumb 10-10-2006 11:45 PM

Killer Mike - I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind

His 2-cd album bootleg thingie. Pretty cool, negative points for using a "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" sample. Or maybe... bonus points. Good MC.

The Jungler 10-11-2006 03:41 PM

I've been listening to Sigur Ros's Agaetis Byrjun a whole lot lately. Fantastic CD.

mr_jackalope 10-11-2006 03:45 PM

I'm considering taking back a lot of what I've previously said about Destroyer. Turns out, these guys are pretty decent on third or so listen. I've listened to Rubies, Notorious Lightning and Other Works, and now Streethawk: A Seduction today and sort of see what everyone was talking about. But not quite.

PECOAE 10-11-2006 05:20 PM

I've only heard Rubies and his New Pornographers stuff but I really like it.

mr_jackalope 10-11-2006 06:24 PM

Thing is, I can't stand the P0rnos, but this stuff is pretty cool. I like the EP he did with Frog Eyes a lot.

BillCosby 10-11-2006 06:30 PM

Pharrell - In My Mind
meh

Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die
