I've never felt threatened enough to pull my knife on someone, and just pulling a knife on someone can get you in a lot of trouble with the law.

The only time I pulled my knife is when I refused to hand over my wallet to some bloke trying to mug me. He ran when I pulled my knife and I just walked off.

See as long as the police dont see you pulling out your weapon and as long as you have a decent reason for carrying a knife you're pretty safe in my area.
