yes, chu, that's why I won't be posting
:D Pro! Thanks for warning us this time, you realise, the Metallica thread completely slows down without you here. |
Does anyone have the Dream Theater metallica covers available for YSI? Please?
|
I just watched Some Kind of Monster and I have just one question. Did anyone else almost cry when Lars was talking to Dave about what would have been if he hadn't been kicked out of Metallica in '82?
|
Can't say I did.
|
Not really. I thought he was whinging a little...
'Dude, I'm totally pissed off... I could have sold 80 million records, but I went into my own band which I think is infinitely better than Metallica and only sold 20 million. Boohoo.' I have no problem with Mustaine, but I think he should be over the fact he wasn't for Metallica 20 years ago. And if he hadn't done something/anything enough to make them want to get rid of him, he wouldn't have had to go. His fault. :smash: |

Nah but he did go on a bit. |
I think nothing else matters aint easy.
but im allmost getting there i had to try a lot though. but i only gotta know the end now. our rythm guitar cant play it at all. he doesnt even try cause he thinks its too hard. *doh* :p :amaze:
we only have one gitarist and he dosn't want to do it eather he thinks is to hard to :amaze: :upset: and he's doing the rythm to . i always say if you dont try you never wil do it |
What's the point of not even trying it? You're never going to get better if you don't try things that seem hard to you.
|
any news about metalluca next album?
|
Apparently they have quite a lot of new material but haven't recorded anything yet i believe.
|
Hey everyone, has anyone listened to the new free mp3s on livemetallica.com?
If you havnt, dont bother, the quality sucks |
I wasn't going to bother anyways, I already have like 3 live versions of those songs.
|
Yeah well it isn't good. I have the Austin Texas one, and that is OK. However this one is not worth the trouble
|
I can't even get onto LiveMetallica.
|
Are they old MP3's???
They were uploaded a few days ago, i think they are from 1992. /can't be bothered checking |
Yea they are from 92 in NJ, the qualitiy really sux it was some sort
home equipment. most the time you can't hear james...jason does some singing and theres not much else you need to know about it on the fourhorseman subject the galloping is a little weird but if you play along with the cd a couple times you get it down! some one said they heard news on the new album. I aint' heard anything so if you'll send me that link I would appreciate it much ps the solo in Enter Sandman is pretty easy too |
Oh yea and I just got my Tallica touring poster from 84!
|
That's cool!
I REALLY want a Ride The Lightning poster :( One time I saw one but didn't have the money on me, I contemplated stealing it, but it would have been pretty hard getting it out of there, I went back later that week with the money to buy it, but it wasn't there :( :upset: |

Everytime I went to Walmart, (which was the least expensive place to buy it.) They had the cd when I had no money, but when I had the money, they sold out of the album.  |
Hi Chu, what's ^? Yay, today is my birthday. I'm 20 and I already feel old.
****, just a year away... :naughty: |
Haha in Canada you only have to be 19 to drink.
|

****, just a year away... :naughty:
Hey man! Happy birthday :) You're all unlucky :) In Australia you have to be 18 to drink legally away from home, but only 16 to legally drink under the care of your parents :) |
To all the guitarists out there:
Ever notice how Metallica's three early ballads(Fade to Black, Sanitarium, One) use the same notes in the intros? They all use the B note on the A string and the D string At the fourth fret(don't know that note). Wierd, huh? Also, anyone notice somewhat of a similarity between the song structure of "Fade to Black"and Iron Maiden's "Children of the ****ed"? |
Sorry, they wouldn't let me say D*A*M*N*E*D
|
Yea cause those notes rock!
I'm so excited about this KEA poster it's really cool I'm also get a rr and a j page all vintage! |

Oh, don't worry I'm allowed to drink at my dad's, (yay!! not that it's legal in the states, just under my dad's roof LOL) I just want to be able to buy it on my own. For my birthday I want to crack open a budweiser and rock out to some Head-Bangin' Metal the way Metallica used to. |
Hey, Chu. Who all is still posting since I joined here? (I hear that GoCaps doesn't post
NEARLY as often) |

Brittallica is a sort of regular here too, but wasn't around when you were... |
I post every once in a while, although you probably don't know me :)
I'm gonna try to learn the leper messiah solo. It's gonna be difficult, but I'll stick to it and learn it all. :thumb: |

It was called 'The Art of Kirk Hammett'. I think it had a part of leper messiah in it. It definitely had a part of Battery's solo in there that sounded ****. |

Wierd, huh?
4th fret D string is an F#, and its not surprising that metallica song sounds similar to the other becuz 90% of all of their songs are in the key of em(notice how they never stop palm muting the low E string, 6th string) and the other 10 are bm and am, These are all similar keys because em has 1# (F#), bm has 2 #'s (F# and C#) and am has no sharps so they are all closely related..........dudes take a music theory class at school or something every musician will appreciate the help it lends u, in fact im now going to post a thread in the guitarist forum on some basic music theory.....so chek it out |
 I was reading through my So What! Book last night, looking at the questions in Whiplash and i nearly píssed myself at this one
Fan: With so many people who worship the ground Metallica walks on, how does it affect you? Do you sometimes find yourself becoming arrogant? James: No, and how DARE you bother The Mighty Hetfield with that meaningless little comment, you peon. |
