Moving Pictures is a great album.
For sure it's a very dark album too. Grace under pressure has the same kind of feel.

I have been on less and less nowadays :( It isn't like I have a life, just not finding time. Although I do get tommorow off :)

Win A Rabbit 01-05-2006 11:24 PM

i got the retrospective album (i think that's what it is) for $7 at hmv. it's just a collection of alot of their best stuff. got me into them more than i was before. still not a huge huge fan, but it's starting to grow on me.

Double Bass Jim 01-05-2006 11:32 PM

It takes awhile, the music is complex. No one sounds or plays like rush.

Win A Rabbit 01-05-2006 11:34 PM

i love the music for the most part, but geddy's vocals turn me away most of the time. every once in a while i like it, though. it's kind of an on/off band for me right now, but like i said, i like them a bit more every day kind of thing.

anyways, i too am off to watch conan. au revoir.

Double Bass Jim 01-05-2006 11:39 PM

Ahh poor geddy... Among all of his other talents he actually is a great singer. The man has some serious range from incredibly high to deep vocals. He's the most talented person in the band I would say simply for his live showing. He plays bass, plays keyboards, sings, and plays the bass pedals all at once! Their live act is the best i've ever seen. Three men who can play at that level with that kind of percision is really something to see.

rockindrummer 01-05-2006 11:45 PM

^ So true, that is a good thing though because if there were so many bands doing what they are then they would be this original awsome band they would be part of a crowd.

Anyways I got a black eye today at my soccer practice. I got into a pushing fight over the ball with this other guy. I pushed him back and turned for the ball and he grabbed at my shirt then I pushed him back again then he punched me just bellow my eye.

School tomorrow is going to be super annoying everyone is going to ask what happened. Atleast it is a friday.

I must agree. Geddy is very talented musically. On the dvd he just rips it up. A Great bass player. On our radio station here they used to do a competition every year for ugliest man in rock. Geddy Lee has won a few times

Double Bass Jim 01-05-2006 11:53 PM

Haha yea, he's a strange lookin dude. But he rules and thats all that matters

Nick90 01-06-2006 01:11 AM

Hey everyone, I'm new here so i thought i might introduce myself. My name is Nicholas, and my interests are drumming, music, and films. Thats pretty much me rite there hah. I've been drumming for about a year and a half now and loving every minute of it. My kit is a Ludwig accent combo, with a Sabain HHX stage ride, B8 hats, and a B8 crash ride. I saved up for about 14 months to get just the kit and the B8 pack (crash ride + hats). It is by far the best purchase i have ever made, and probably ever will make. Well theres my intro. See you guys around.

styler 01-06-2006 01:20 AM

yo nick, wassup my dawg

drumman 01-06-2006 01:23 AM

I'm new, so I thought I'd post in here first.

My name is Ian! I live in London, Ontario! Home of the.... well... nothing.
Well, I've been taking drum lessons since I was 6, that makes 10 years! Yeah, for all those guys that can't do math... that makes me 16!

I practice AROUND 6 hours each day and am DEAD dedicated to my drums. I also on occasion scream and such. I guess I should be able to sing as my sister is an opera singer, and my dad used to sing in a touring band, but... alas... I'm just able to hit things ;)

But yeah, my favourite styles of music are probably screamo, metal (all the kinds... don't make me list the sub-genres) and jazz. Since I started as a classical jazz drumming, I always stay with my roots!

Hope to talk to all of you more soon ;)

styler 01-06-2006 01:51 AM
