:thumb: Steve Miller is awesome!

And I've never even heard of Trick Stickers.

Jam2Me 01-08-2005 02:00 PM

Eh, I'm a newbie to the whole album reviewing thing, can I just review the CD I want to or do I have to check with some higher authority first. (Yes I know not to review a CD that has already been reviewed :))

BludgeonySteve 01-08-2005 02:05 PM

Naw. But check this http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139438 to make sure it hasen't been done before.

Model yours off of the hall of fame guys.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-08-2005 02:20 PM

I got some amazing deals today at my record store today.

Blues Traveler- four(3$)
Eric Clapton- Unplugged (6$)
Jeff Beck- Truth (7$)
Emerson, Lake and Palmer- Trilogy (7$)
Best of all Woodstock DVD. :)

jpj 01-08-2005 02:25 PM

Holy **** those are some nice deals! How much was the DVD?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-08-2005 02:40 PM

17$
I was debating Woodstock or Bob Dylan's 6th bootleg. Good choice?

jpj 01-08-2005 02:42 PM

I'd say definitely a good choice. $17 is a pretty good price too compared to what I've seen it as.

led zeppelin has always been my favorite band next to the chili peppers.
i love the who also, along with the grateful dead, another one of my favorites

Way to contribute to the conversation, noob.

Anyhow, Truth is a solid album. It's not as good as Blow by Blow, but it's good nonetheless.

Jam2Me 01-08-2005 02:57 PM

OK guys I got my first review up, check it out. If you don't have it already you should really buy it, it's a great CD.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-08-2005 04:14 PM

Wow I was way wrong about Clapton. Unplugged is awsome.

Jam2Me 01-08-2005 04:17 PM

What songs are on it (other then Layla)?

magicbus 01-08-2005 04:37 PM

Tears In Heaven, Hey Hey, Before You Accuse Me, Nobody Knows When You're Down And Out, Malted Milk, Walkin' Blues, and Runnin on Faith are the few I can remember. The whole cd is very good. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Humor99 01-08-2005 06:59 PM

San Francisco Bay is also on it.

Random note - anybody know what kind of guitar Robertson uses on The Last Waltz?

BludgeonySteve 01-08-2005 07:05 PM

Looks like a fender strat. Atleast it did according to my failing memory.

Hehe, Ringo Starr is whoring stuff in infomercials again.

I really liked the gold reflective cover it had. Good stuff.

magicbus 01-08-2005 07:13 PM

Yea its some kind of stratocaster. I've never seen that pickup set up though, probably custom.

Broken Arrow 01-08-2005 08:02 PM

Yeah the poll was pretty weak IMO. It was either RHCP or VH but I went VH:\

BillCosby 01-08-2005 08:11 PM

I picked up "Surrealistic Pillow" by Jefferson Airplane today.

Well, technically I borrowed it from the library, but I own a copy now.

Great Album.....indeed.

I don't have it on C.D. yet because it is too hard to find.:(

Woodstock 01-08-2005 08:16 PM

My library has a poor CD collection. It's mostly boy bands and Kenny G.

DeusExMachina 01-08-2005 08:36 PM

I haven't really heard much by Booker T. and the MG's. Except Green Onions of course, because everyone has heard it. Is all their stuff instrumental?
