There's a lot of extreme Christian groups out there, do you mean they're the most hardcore Christian group as in like... they're hardcore Christians, or their music is insanely brutal as well as Christian?
Well, the All Music Guide description means it in the insanely brutal musical sense, but having seen a few of their song titles and lyrics (for instance, "Forsake the Flesh," which is all about remaining celibate and abstaining from sex as indulgences in such things are sins), I would say the other option is true as well. :p

I've also listened to some streams of their music...its style is highly characteristic of turn-of-the-decade styles of death from the '80s and '90s, a little tame by today's standards. Not my thing, though.
its really not....

So it's oldschool in both the sense of sound and ideology?

I'll need to check this out just because for some reason I like Christian bands...
<-- is Christian

They're probably not the most brutal Christian band anymore though if they're tame by the modern standards of brutality.

It started out good, but then I ended up by myself for about 4 hours and had no one to talk to or keep me somewhat sane. It was bad, my poster were melting of the wall, theere were mini beads running all over my ceiling, then the walls, then the floor, and then all over me. Not too mention the insane demented circus piano music I kept hearing over and over in my head.

Steerpike 03-13-2006 12:46 PM

Huh. Dead Eyes See No Future ended up being the 666th mp3 added to my playlist.

I bet it was. There's this Bulgarian kid at my school that tells me stories about his penis all the time.

i am the robots 03-13-2006 12:48 PM

That's really bizarre, sounds like something my friends would do to girls.

My friend James: Shannon, you'd be much more attractive if you had six penises
Shannon: ummmm.... yes James, I guess so...

Also, Alex, that's totally grim!

It'd be funny but the way he tells it just makes it creepy.
Has anyone ever read the book or heard of "Running with Scissors" (I'm so tired at the moment I don't know if that's the correct spells of scissors) it's really, really weird book. Very descriptive, almost too descriptive.
Augusten Burroughs? I've read it. I thought it was excellent. Kind of like David Sedaris but darker. I worked in a book store so it's almost a given that I've read or know about recent books.

It would take me approximately 72 days to listen to all of my music. I've started already. I'm going by song title.

damn...

mine was like a mental cave in which i could have snapped at any time and become a crazed lunatic from there on.

After reminding myself of that for a few hours, it cleared up. It turned out nice when i started to watch Croching Tiger; Hidden Dragon

but still, never again

what didnt help at ALL was one of my friends telling me why he would never take LSD again, only to find it was because of the EXACT same type i took an hour prior. Seriously didnt help

Haha, yeah, that's how James says things, he tries to be creepy, it's his sense of humor, so once you realize he's joking it's amazing.

Yeah, I liked but it was a little freaky in its own way. When he was in this so called "relationship" with this Bookman creep, IMO, they got a little too descriptive, they drug into how he was molesting this kid.

It was fine that the kid was gay but he wasn't really sexually attracted to this Bookman guy, IMO, it was more of a mental attraction rather then physical.

'sup guys?
currently waiting for g/f to call back, she rang when i was having dinner. hoping school's gonna be off tomorrow cos of the shitty weather, it's hailing so hard the roads are getting covered, and they're gonna freeze overnight i think. although it doesn't really matter if i'm not in school tomorrow, no real lessons.

Hmm...I have five lessons...a day off would be awesome.

I just had a difficult time fixing my computer, I had to system restore and change keyboard, and that seems to have fixed it.

Yeah, it's offputting that a true-story is so open about these horrible things that happened to the author. Those parts can definitely be hard to read.

Mazeppa 03-13-2006 02:18 PM

So it looks like me and several friends will be going to Wacken this year! =D
This is rather exciting, especially as I'm just getting into Atheist, Unquestionable Presence is seriously the most exciting new metal I've found in a while.

They get more awesome as I carry on listening! Nice change for my family, they get a tech death blasting rather then the usuall classical.

Well, I mean they're new to me. I can upload you a song if you want me to though, leave an email and I'll just upload the first track from this album.

SFR - indeed they are. Emperor too, I believe. If I weren't already to be in another country by then, I'd consider going myself.

Good afternoon eFriends, I just got home from school. There's a major standardized test every day this week for sophomores only,so the rest of us don't have to be in school until 10:00. Good stuff, I stayed up until 4:30 last night and felt beautiful today. :)

I also found out after school today that another guitarist in my class bought himself a fancy as hell PRS.

All I could say was my $1700 Jackson > his $1400 PRS  \m/

Still winning the auction on that RR5 too!

Oh, and I'm probably late with this, but my scrob finally updated:

1 Opeth 102
2 Fragments of Unbecoming 43
3 Slayer 18
4 Nightrage 11
5 Akercocke 7
6 Racer X 6
7 Psycroptic 5
8 AFI 4
9 Finntroll 3
10 Darkthrone 2
