Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave
|
Jose Gonzalez - Veneer
this guy is damned good.
The album, Heartbeats aside, hasn't really grabbed me. |
I like it, he's got a cool voice.
|
Listening to the new Califone, Roots and Crowns. I've been really impressed with this one, they're definitely keeping up with their awesome back catalogue. Their cover of Psychic TV's "The Orchids" is freaking phenomenal.
|
I love that damn band.
|
Still diggin' on Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain. I'm getting into it more and more with each listen and I can feel it starting to grab me.

Everyone needs to hear this. Great alt country |
The Killers - Sam's Town
Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me |

Sunburned Hand of the Man Black Dice |
brainiac- hissing prigs in static couture

yeah i want to see them live again. seeing him actually playing all that stuff was a great moment in my life. anyway, my friend burned me a mix. so far i'm really liking the stuff she put on it. some Broadcast, Ilya, Boards of Canada, Sneaker Pimps, Telefon Tel Aviv, and some other stuff. i'm gonna have to look further into these bands. |
Broadcast's Tender Buttons was one of the better releases of last year.
|
Yea, that's a nice album.
|
I've had Boys and Girls in America by the Hold Steady on repeat all day.
|
I listened to Alligator for most of yesterday as well. Such a great record.

I haven't even bothered to write that one in here. I've listened to it about 10 times since Monday. |
Whiskeytown - Pneumonia
haven't listened yet but I just got it, because I heard one of their other tracks ("Choked Up") and became interested immediately. Seriously, you guys should get that song. It's one of those really catchy, kind of sad/nostalgic/bittersweet songs that everybody likes because it makes them feel good, even though it's only a slightly happy song. that was a terrible description but you'll know what I mean if you hear it. This should have been a really big hit. |
Yeah, Whiskeytown are pretty great. It's actually quite embarrassing that I don't have any of their albums, considering my Ryan Adams fanboy-ish qualities.
|
Despite some of the members here feelings towards The Killers, I've been listening to their latest album.
The Strokes - First Impression Of Earth & recently a bit of Eve 6. |
New Hold Steady is pretty good.
|
I heard some of that new Killers album in the record store tonight and it sounded decent.
|
Listening to some leaked Deftones songs I got yesterday. "Beware" is pretty tight.

And You Will Know Us By the Trail of the Dead - Source Tags & Codes
First listen. I like the drums. Amos Lee - Amos Lee Not so much first listen, because this is excellent. Only one song (of eleven) even approaches mediocre. |
DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - The Platinum & Gold Collection
EPMD - Business As Usual Strictly old skool day today. |
Off Minor
Best hardcore band ever. |
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
I love Dylan, but this album really never struck me as anythign extraordinary. It's certainly better than most of his post-Nashville Skyline work, but it still pales in comparison to his 60s efforts. The Decemberists - The Crane Wife I'm really liking this so far. I love their typical eccentric, jangly pop tales, but after 3 albums of much fo the same, a change like this is certainly welcome. |
That skool never gets old
:p Finished listening to a couple of albums that I haven't heard for years just now. Very nostalgic: Iron Maiden - Brave New World Deep Purple - Greatest Hits |
