I put the black album in there too cause i think the black albums although less thrashy its still some of their greatest work. i think its better than kill em all cause kill em all had the least interesting guitar solos out of them all.

I like the solos of KEA personally.

I think the solos on KEA are too bluesy and pentatonic, and you can tell Kirk hasn't developed his own style yet.

He had a simple style sure, but it fittted well with KEA.

You can tell Kirk learned alot between KEA and RTL.

All he did was fiddle with Daves leads. They're hardly different. I'm not really suprised there's a change from Kill 'Em All to Ride The Lightning as they weren't his solos on Kill 'Em All.

i heard metallica doin the blitzkrieg and I think lars drum work on that track is kick ***! sorry to change the subject...but that song is really rocking..though I never heard the blitzkrieg version I dont know how it could be much better.

i thought it was kick a** too i really loved it. it was f***ing awsome.

I would say Hammett is better at creating solos when compared to Mustaine's. They're more memorable.

the solos on KEA are just insane. i dont knnow how kirk can remember all those solos he wrote. even thinking it up and writing it down would have to be hard enough

anyway, this isnt the same thing. i only reminded people yesterday because there were about 5 posts about pantera.

kirk actually didnt have much to do with the solos on KEA, it was mostly Daves and james' work. however he did get lessons from joe satriani after KEAs release and this is partly where he got his style from.
btw.......anyone heard any hammett-era Exodus?

James didn't do any solos on Kill 'Em All, aside from the first one on The Four Horsemen. I also thought Kirk was taught by Satch before he joined Metallica.

I've not heard anything Hammett-Era Exodus, aside from Impaler.
