JFAC's Doom was deathcore. And his vocals were decent on it, but I get sick of the brees.

on some songs they are really overused, but on songs like knee deep and stuff i think they add a bit to the song, but i understand where you're coming from

Well wiki has Deathcore but then you go to the new album wiki page and it has melo-death....WTF?!?!?!?!!?

see i think their new album is more death metal than doom was, doom just sounded like deathcore to me, but thats imo

doom was more melodic and had breakdowns, genesis is just more boring and generic (in a different sense), both are still just death metal though, there's nothing hardcore oriented about doom

yes, it was heavily melodic but there was definitely a hardcore influence on doom, the band even admits to it, and the absence of it on thier new album
