People seriously Fortress > Kezia. Kezia I enjoy on many occasions for its poppyness.

They are both really good, I do enjoy Fortress more though, not by much.

I enjoy Fortress more, it's just so much earthier.

It may be like one of the weaker songs on the album but it's still pretty good.

However, The Dissentience contains the thinly veiled weed smoking reference that Rody and Tim reportedly asked Arif to put in.

Spoils is my favorite.

I'm really enjoying Fortess. I felt the need to listen to them because they're from my hometown and the bassist went to the same highschool as me. I never really had interest before because I remember hearing them long before Kezia came out and thinking "this sucks". They've really come a long way.

Well I could see you not liking them before Kezia, they were a more or less totally different band. I still love a lot of that stuff though.

they remind more of a punk band before kezia, but thats just my opinion

they were a punk band before Kezia. Well, the pre-ACUoS stuff was like punk/hardcore but ACUoS is basically post-hardcore with Iron Maiden and Judas Priest influences.

i thought of them as a noodly punk band when "a calculated use of sound" came out

yeah me too but they were still more "post hardcore" on that though. just the 'tude was snotty punk

Dmitri is the best thing they've ever written but there's a lot of really solid stuff pre-Kezia. Silent Genocide, Asperity of Sin, there's a lot worth looking for.
