Am I the only one that can hear the whistle at the end of "A Day in the Life"?
Along with my friend.

If you can get the ticket as a birthday present, you won't have to sell any body parts to pay for it

The Reincarnation Of Hendrix 04-21-2005 03:00 PM

I've just started to get into the beatles properly especially after hearing Revolver which is amazing!! The last track Tomorrow Never Knows is simply mind blowing its so strange to think that they could make a track like that without all of the fancy technology thats used today

i got to try playing that with my dog in the room next time.

Speaking of Sgt. Pepper, in 'With A Little Help From My Friends' does any one now what they mean in the line, "What do you see when you turn off the light. I can't tell you, but i know its mine." What are they talking about, does any one know?

It was probably just something that popped into their heads when they were writing a song

I think what hes trying to say is that when you turn off the light you see nothing, and hes trying to say he has nothing, but his friends get him through it.

Jealousy ++

Seafroggys 04-22-2005 02:58 PM

Tickets for Portland go on sale tomorrow, but I almost don't want to go.....saw him up close in '02, afraid that being in the far back will have a worse memory to live the rest of my life by, you know?

But I also felt that I didn't appreciate the last concert as much as I could have.

bcf717 04-22-2005 03:39 PM

Who ever goes, 'a splendid time is guaranteed for all.' I've seen him 5 times 'altogether now.' Professionally photographed him from the pit in the 90's and from the soundboards recently. I've never been disappointed. Good luck to all with tix, and ENJOY!

Towelie7 04-22-2005 03:51 PM
Well, I saw the poll about the "best beatles album," and it got me thinking. We have all these threads about all sorts of great bands, but there's no thread just for talking about The Beatles. So, I decided to make one. Talk about The Beatles, their solo careers, anything to do with The Beatles in here. As a starter question, what are peoples preferences: Let it Be or Let it Be Naked? I personally prefer Naked, I think its more polished, and I think The Beatles were more of a studio band then live band.
I don't dig the Beatles.

Awesome

I am really freaked out that they will go on sale before I even notice, has anyone seen anything about the MSG show?

magicbus 04-22-2005 06:23 PM
I don't dig the Beatles.
Then leave. Simple as that.

Abbey Road is sweet. I love "Because" and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)". The minor arpeggios sound really cool.
