Video game? Are you reffering to Tony Hawk?

Ulysses 10-05-2005 07:22 PM

"Love At First Feel", that title makes me laugh everytime, great sense of humour in their song titles and lyrics. They don't take anything too seriously and thats one aspect that I like about them.

Anthem 10-05-2005 09:15 PM

Is it just me or does Malcome always look like his guitar is weighing him down?

rippa32 10-06-2005 04:41 AM

Big guitar, small person. I suppose so. Has anyone noticed he only ever had one pick up in his guitar and the rest taken out? In his signature guitar you can only get one pickup too.

Ulysses 10-08-2005 05:43 AM

Interesting, learn something new everyday. He looks very cool when playing his guitar on stage, standing in the background, rocking his head to the beat. Classy.

acdc_problemchild07 10-08-2005 10:16 AM

Apocalyptic Raids 10-10-2005 07:42 AM

How the study goin?

TYPUNK 10-10-2005 07:49 AM

I dont like AC/DC, they do have a few good songs tho.

Ulysses 10-10-2005 07:57 AM

Done a bit, English mostly as it is the first exam and also a bit of maths. I'll get stuck into a bit more tomorrow

Ulysses 10-10-2005 08:00 AM
My Opinion on AC/DC: AC/DC is a popular classic rock band with a few good songs but listen closly to their music. All of AC/DC's songs sound the same :O go look at the guitar riffs for AC/DC's songs, they all look revitaly similar :O cant this band write 2 songs that are different? Like come on this band cant write good music. Alos AC/DC is slang for Bi-Sexual =/
Wow, this blokes a bright one. Heard it all before buddy.

Ulysses 10-10-2005 08:25 AM

guitaraddict21119 10-11-2005 01:59 PM
Has anyone seen that stiff upper lip tour dvd,ive been thinking about buying it,but i wanna know if its good or not.
guitaraddict21119 10-11-2005 02:00 PM
Brain does squeel a tad on it, though.
i hope you realize what you have just started by saying all that ****. Yeah try listening to Jailbreak and Moneytalks and see how different. Do you ever make fun of Chuck berry, because he writes two songs that are EXACTLY the same just with different lyrics. School Days and Riding along in my automible are the same along with johnny b. goode and roll over beethoven. Also listen to Stiff Upper Lip and Show Buiseness, or Shoot To thrill and Hard As A rock. then you might change your mind

what a ****er

Agreed.

thunderkitty 10-11-2005 03:18 PM

dont pay attention to stuff like that

Bon_Scottie 10-11-2005 03:20 PM

He's probably only ever heard Back in Black and Highway to hell...

Gives his opinion a HUGE meaning.

Even being the huge fan I am, sure some tracks sounds the same. The use they same tone on the guitars and chords on a lot of the songs, but it doesnt mean they dont sound awesome. Just love the power of the chords.

So I'm off to an AC/DC day on Decemeber 28th, fiften quid entry. Tribute bands, live shows, merchandise... films, and... all that jazz.

Oh, I think I heard about that.

Aren't the former AC/DC drummers Simon Wright and Chris Slade gonna be there?

Romencer17 10-11-2005 08:02 PM

Wow, so many people here hate Ac/dc. That just sucks like hell. Does anyone else think Family Jewels is worth the money? I got it for 10 bucks.

rippa32 10-12-2005 12:06 AM

10 bucks? yes thats very worth it.

Bon_Scottie 10-13-2005 03:05 AM

Aye its worth it.

Would have been a hell of a lot better if they hadnt choosen the footage from the actual year of the song though. Like on Bons disk, they've preformed Whole Lotta' Rosie so much better than that, with the crowd shouting Angus' name at the beggining, and bigger stages...

I love their tone. It sounds awesome to me anyways.

It was great the other day. My band was rehearsing some AC/DC tunes like highway to hell and thunderstruck. I was really nervous as we sorta gathered a crowd and I started messing up on Highway to Hell, so during the solo I did the whole do doughnuts on the floor thing and got a crap-load of laughter and applause.

Angus sure knows how to warm up a crowd.

Yeah definately, I bought it for $20 and would recommend it to anyone that likes AC/DC. It's a class DVD apart from the balls and sounds effects that accompany them in between each track, that gets slightly annoying.

rippa32 10-14-2005 12:22 AM

Balls and sounds? I wouldn't know because I don't have it. Reason being I dont want to pay for a DVD full of cheap dodgy video clips and like 4 live tracks.

Jono9119X 10-14-2005 01:12 PM

yo guys, yesterday i think it was, my dad was in the car, he said AC/DC was on the Howard STern show, talking about something new thats coming out, but my dad doesnt remember what it was, do any of you know? thank you very much

ROCK ON!

Yppolitia 10-14-2005 01:40 PM

Didnt ACDC play infront of a humungus (sp?) crowd in Russia?

metalmilitia101 10-14-2005 01:44 PM

haha everyone plays in front of a humongous crowd in russia. btw new to the thread and i absolutely adore ac/dc. angus rules the crowd, and they have the perfect guitar/drum syncopation.

Bon_Scottie 10-14-2005 03:59 PM
Didnt ACDC play infront of a humungus (sp?) crowd in Russia?
Monsters of rock '91?

The crowd was insanally huge.

rippa32 10-14-2005 07:28 PM

Yer they played a free gig at moscow, for some charity reason I can't remember, if you have the Donington DVD, its discussed in the audio commentary.

Brew 10-25-2005 03:12 AM

*bump*

My Dad gave me his vinyl copy of High Voltage not so long ago, but the front cover it has is completley different to any other I've seen.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/Lord_Brummington/Vinyl/Picture047.jpg

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this cover? Is it the Aussie version?

I dunno. I've never seen that cover before. Ever.

Bon_Scottie 10-25-2005 04:28 PM

Personally havent seen that cover before, looks awesome.

I know they did have different covers for one or two albums for different country releases...

Brew 10-25-2005 04:38 PM

I've done some research, and I've found out its the original European sleeve design.

So I'm guessing there must've been 3 sleeves for the album - Aussie, European and Rest of World, with Europe getting the R.O.W sleeve not long after its original one was used.

Edit: Just found that its listed as:

Cartoon Sleeve, Dark Green/Orange label, released 14th May 1976.

I think I've seen that on the back of the US High Voltage (not the original CD, the little remaster package thingy)

No I think thats how its spelt.

no compromise2 10-25-2005 08:07 PM
