I think it's inevitable. last time I tried quitting I was also working out pretty consistently, and ate better, but I still had rapid weight gain.

weight gain doesn't mean anything when smoking is 500 times unhealthier than being fat.

smoking = lowered appetite and better metabolism(maybe)

if you eat well and get just a bit of exercise, you'll be good. no matter what genes you have, science has to take over eventually.
