there can be absolutely zero denials that there are elements of metal in grind (harsh vocals, distorted guitars, speed, etc.) hence my word choice of 'metal enough'

It so isn't anything near metal, though. Grind = punk. Metal = metal.

Grind comes from only one thing and no other elements played into its development, ESPECIALLY not early Napalm Death.
