Since The Mars Volta is considered post-hardcore can we post threads about them in here or should I take it to the Alt/Indie forum?

cbmartinez 05-07-2005 08:58 PM

Though technically they have post-hardcore in them, they are an indie/space rock band.

BuddyBigsby 05-07-2005 10:53 PM

That and everybody in their right mind should be sick of talking about them.
No, Pg. 99. Then CoC if they have time.
Nah man, City of Caterpillar are seriously waaay better.

Pg. 99 just don't sound fresh or original to me anymore, City of Caterpillar still do.
And Saetia reunion? Fugeddabouttit. None of them want to do it.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-08-2005 09:36 AM

I just won a free PsP

RetiredAt21 05-08-2005 10:08 AM

Are you serious? PSP's rule.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-08-2005 10:44 AM

Ya, I won it online it just takes a f'ucking long time to claim it. I've completed a few surveys.

Electric Ocean 05-08-2005 11:21 AM

How'd you win it? Could be a scam.

conniption 05-08-2005 11:40 AM

most of them arent, you just give up because of all the paper work you have to do, and all this paper work leads to other stuff eventually making it not worth your time.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-08-2005 11:45 AM

I shot the agent from the matrix. I jus gave them an e-mail address i don't use anymore and my cell fone number.

conniption 05-08-2005 11:47 AM

haha, oh well, maybe youll get it, just remember you cant buy time.

RetiredAt21 05-08-2005 09:04 PM

PSP's are awesome. My friend has one. I told him he can have my sister if he gives me his PSP.

Wow 05-08-2005 09:10 PM

I love my PSP. Ridge Racer is the shit. It's almost as good as Driftwood.

I'll give you that about CoC, but ever have one of those bands where you just have an unexplainable, undying boner for them? Yeah, that's me and the P.

Electric Ocean 05-09-2005 05:39 AM

I really wanna check out Off Minor, anyone got anything by them and have MSN or Soulseek?

cbmartinez 05-09-2005 01:49 PM

I have The Heat Death Of The Universe on AIM. I got it from Pixies.

i know :upset: but i can still dream.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-10-2005 08:59 PM

My little brother is running for School President for my middle school. He'll most likely win. He is the best 7th grader, he is the only one that actually knows what hardcore is. Oh, well too bad i can't vote, I'm in 8th grade :upset:

Wow 05-11-2005 11:41 AM

"Our school dances will be filled with great hxc and we'll spin kick and two step the night away!"

*One random hardcore kid cheers*

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-11-2005 08:05 PM

We're joking around saying if he doesn't win the school is racsist.

Shikyo 05-12-2005 08:21 AM

haha, that would be so great.

I've never seen any 7th/8th grade hardcore kids. It's awesome that kids that age actually know what music is. All of the 7th/8th grade people I see either wear Good Charlotte shirts, or are into rap and stuff.

Go 7th grader running for class president!

Wow 05-12-2005 09:46 AM

6th grade Indian Summer fan, represent! I was so cool.

RetiredAt21 05-12-2005 11:36 AM

6th grade Slipknot fan...

*ashamed*

EDIT: I was the most moronic 6th grader ever.

Shikyo 05-12-2005 12:05 PM

I'm one better than you. 6th grade Korn fan. I'm ashamed aswell. My cousin then got me into punk around my 6th grade year and he listened to a little hardcore aswell and it just went from there.

I wish I was a 6th grade Indian Summer fan... or a 6th grade something-better-that-Korn fan.

RetiredAt21 05-12-2005 12:07 PM

Eh, I liked Korn too. I was a nu-metal loving 6th grader.

Shikyo 05-12-2005 12:08 PM

Same here. Even worse... I was a rap loving 5th grader before that. Someone shoot me.

EDIT - This went really off-topic. Sorry if it makes anyone mad because this is a emo/screamo topic and this post had nothing to do with emo/screamo.

Wow 05-12-2005 12:11 PM

It's a community thread.

So who wants to hook me up with everything released by Burned Out Bright?

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-12-2005 04:37 PM

Hahahaha...... I'm the only kid at my school that actually knows what hardcore/emo/screamo is. I used to listenin to Sugar Ray in 5th grade. I also thought I was a bada'ss because I listened to Marlyn Manson. I hate those bands now. I got into punk in 6th grade with the Dead Kennedy's and I've always been into The Ramones since I was little, but i never knew what they were.

RetiredAt21 05-12-2005 05:14 PM

I went through a Marilyn Manson phase too. Ugh...
