Ha! I thought I was right.

Man, Slipknot needs to come to North Carolina. :upset:

515 is the area code of De Moines Iowa, where they lived. :thumb:

Saw some clips from the knot at downlod, they totally rocked.
Well, he is indeed bald, you can see a small bit of his head in the Before I Forget video.

But that doesn't do me justice. I want to see his face, without any masks, glasses, hairdos, any shit on it. I've seen the death mask shots, but honestly, that doesn't help much either. FULL FACE DAMMIT.
Mmmm...Who here wants to see them unmasked?

I would. A few years ago, I wanted them to drop the whole masks gimmick and become a 'normal' band, so that the 13 year old kids would stop listening to them. These days, I reckon that they should wear the masks ONLY if they wanted to. They could even wear them on a casual basis.

The problem is, they can't ditch the masks. If they did, they would lose half of their fans, which is really sad.

Sleeper 06-30-2005 07:04 PM

I prefer them with the masks, But if they dropped the masks i wouldnt really care that much.

**sigh** :upset:

so true...but it would show who actually likes them for the music and not the image

Look what happened to KISS when they took off their masks.

herbalH.erb 07-01-2005 12:18 AM

they should keep the masks, its them, sets them apart even if its used to sell or w/e

Huber 07-01-2005 12:28 AM

I don't know what would happen to their career, but I do know I'd enjoy it a lot more without the masks...at least if their playing the newer material.

herbalH.erb 07-01-2005 12:30 AM

They cetainly woudnt attract any 12 yr old girls with out the masks but heck who wants them really? good charllote i guess.

What i like most about Disasterpieces, Is the camera angles.

Thor 07-01-2005 10:01 PM

What I like the most about Disasterpieces is that you have the option on some songs of what camera you want to watch so I can just watch Joey the whole time. :thumb:
Look what happened to KISS when they took off their masks.
You've got a point there.

Sleeper 07-01-2005 10:03 PM

I like to watch Sid the wole time, I swear hes on speed.

Thor 07-02-2005 02:57 PM

Just wondering, is anyone in here a member of Slipknot's fan club Outside the 9? If so, is it worth the money? Post your thoughts.

Reaper06 07-02-2005 04:06 PM
I like Slipknot. But what I don't like is when stupid people call them "Da Knot" or "The Knot."

What would be best for them though would be to drop the Nu-Metal influences and change over to a metalcore band, like Chimaira did.
how many nu-metal bands do you know that tune to drop b and have double bass drums. they are way too skilled to be lumped in with boy bands like linkin park
DEATH TO NU-METAL

relliK 07-02-2005 04:43 PM

Switching to metalcore would be selling out.

Mr. Hankie 07-02-2005 06:14 PM

I don't really consider Slipknot nu metal anyways, I don't even put them into a category.

It really is a great performance. You've got to hand it to them for putting on amazing shows. I missed the chance to see them, and I definitely regret not going. (I didn't really have a choice on the matter, though.)

Thor 07-02-2005 08:00 PM

Mudvayne does, for starters. :thumb:

Huber 07-02-2005 08:27 PM

Yeah, double bass is in a good amount of nu-metal bands. That statement was just false.

The use of Linkin Park to define Nu-Metal these days is really irritating me. They are only Nu-Metal because they have a huge Hip-hop influence, and the nu-metal style riffs. The things like Primal Aggresion are missing.

You are stupid. What if they just felt like making different kind of music?

Would it be selling out for Britney Spears to start making Black Metal?

Also I would like them to keep the masks just because Joey is really ugly.....
