so i was at my schools talent show (i was filling in for my friends band, not my style of music) and this rival band from my actual one played war pigs. they reeeaaaaallly ****ing pulled it off. it was amazing. the singer was a liitle obnoxious but his bass playing made up for it, and the drummer and guitarist were amazing. i was blown away. feeling a little intimidated. ha.
What did you then play?

Badmoon 02-26-2005 08:40 PM

unclebobscircus 02-26-2005 08:41 PM
Well you should. They have out done you; made you look like fool. Now I strongly recommend you either give up or find a way to destroy these men.
And I would've gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!

Badmoon 02-26-2005 08:44 PM

Gee Shaggy!

Against Miik! 02-26-2005 08:46 PM

psh, ive contemplated both. but then again, i could just respect them as musicians...nah.
What did you then play?
we played before them. some song the guitarist/singer wrote. its not that we played badly, but its not exactly music that shows off technical talent like war pigs. more dave matthews type ****. not my style. not my usual band. dont much care really.

Badmoon 02-26-2005 09:57 PM

I'm hoping you're getting the joke. Which is the whole post.

I haven't heard SCI s/t, but all their live shit I've heard is awesome so I'm sure it's good. Though, they're supposed to be 100 times better live than in the studio.

Yea, but same with the Grateful Dead and I like their studio stuff.

Edit: Nevermind, this is the String Cheese Incident live, I just figured it was a s/t.

BludgeonySteve 02-26-2005 10:59 PM

Hey everyone. I see many jam bands are being mentioned as usual :)

Badmoon has finally won

RockAndRoll 02-26-2005 11:05 PM

yes he has. Speaking of Jam bands (as is always now) what do you guys think of DMB?

Hah ok, then there's no doubt in my mind that it will be awesome.

And DMB is ok. They're good for a listen every once in awhile, but people like my brother turn me away from them. He's always like "OMG I can't believe you don't like DMB, with all the shit you listen to!"

I like them I just don't go around sucking their dicks like half the people in my area, same goes for OAR.

CCR is most likly the most underrated band in classic rock. They where basically the ones that started classic rock but no one seems to ever listen to them or give them any credit

Nah, for both of them. Classic Rock was before them and there are of course more underrated.

You have no clue what you are talking about but you have provided a good topic....Who started Classic Rock?

My vote goes to the Beatles.

thunderzstruck 02-27-2005 12:36 AM

lepkin 02-27-2005 12:37 AM

Oh, it is perfectly done. Very good Country Rock album, but his voice sounds odd. Much unlike the young scratchy, and old mumbling voice.

drumbumman 02-27-2005 12:48 AM

its all about the beatles
