There wouldn't be much of a point to reviewing an album that everyone loves, now would there? Not to mention impossible.
It's not supposed to be an album that everyone loves. It's just a good album that no one knows about. The only reason I use reviews any more is to introduce people to new bands. Plus it's a lot more interesting to read about a band you haven't heard yet.

lol what

Kage 12-12-2007 09:10 PM

Not necessarily. I like reading other people's thoughts on bands I already like.

Valhall 12-12-2007 09:13 PM

I personally think that album is a good album very few people know about. That's part of why I picked it. Now, if you're going to have a personal arguement over whether DKL is good or not, that's a different story.

My next review I am going to purposefully pick an album I think is horrible just to maintain balance, I think. I don't want to do nothing but good reviews; then every band on the planet will think I'm a pushover and "easy to impress" and no upcoming bands will want me to review thier stuff.

NemesisDivina 12-12-2007 09:13 PM
Not necessarily. I like reading other people's thoughts on bands I already like.
Those are usually good bands though...

Valhall 12-12-2007 09:14 PM

See? That's my point. A personal preference has nothing to do with me trying to do an objective review. Simply because you don't think the band is good doesn't mean I shouldn't review a solid album.

EDIT: I knew my selection of albums for review would be controversial in R&M, but I didn't think you guys were that narrow minded. I'm just reviewing an album I like, man.

Valhall 12-12-2007 09:17 PM

Further explanation in the next sentence after that, Lee.

TojesDolan 12-12-2007 09:18 PM

Bloodmeat was put on sale on iTunes.

It rules.

TojesDolan 12-12-2007 10:18 PM

Awesome.

Transient 12-12-2007 10:22 PM

I got it off The Leakage Channel if anybody wants it for free.

I mean, I'm not going to pay for one song when I intend to buy the album when it's released.

Angmar 12-12-2007 10:44 PM

Surprisingly nights without homework turn out to be more boring than nights with it.

are you in college?

Angmar 12-12-2007 11:05 PM
are you in college?
Haha no, but I'm used to having an hour or more of homework a night and I don't have any tonight and I'm actually pretty bored. AP history usually packs it on.

Lunch 12-12-2007 11:06 PM

the reason I ask is because you would never be bored if you ended up with no homework at uni

Iluvatar 12-12-2007 11:10 PM

im pretty sure i just scored a vinyl copy of Jagged Little Pill

im pretty ****ing riot grrl right now

Kage 12-12-2007 11:14 PM

lol, an hour of homework in high school.

AA-12 12-12-2007 11:17 PM

I'm so happy i'm not doing a uni

Kage 12-12-2007 11:23 PM

There's a lot more to be gained from uni than just school work.

Aside from the stresses of school work, I couldn't imagine a more perfect situation for someone at our age.

AA-12 12-12-2007 11:25 PM

I guess. 'Still happy i'm not going.

Angmar 12-12-2007 11:31 PM

Do you have any plans for further education Josh?

Valhall 12-12-2007 11:32 PM

Yeah. Hopefully graphic design at a tech school.

Angmar 12-12-2007 11:34 PM

I take CAD in high school and it is really something I could see myself doing in the future, or at least applying it to engineering, which is my main job idea.

AA-12 12-12-2007 11:35 PM

I had a drafting/autocad class in HS. It was confusing as hell but pretty interesting.

NemesisDivina 12-12-2007 11:39 PM

I was gonna take intro to drafting, but I switched out of it to take Guitar II

TojesDolan 12-13-2007 12:55 AM

Condom is the answer, and no I'm not going to kill you.

In fact I support people having children.

Riva 12-13-2007 01:08 AM

I love children
