I'm reading "Planet Simpson" at the moment, it's this big analysis of the Simpsons by some guy. It's really cool.
For comedy or other?

Low_End_Communications 11-04-2004 06:44 PM

Maybe one of these days I'll get a first page spot in these threads. Unlikely, but I can dream. I can also dream of being declared a mod.

DaveSavesTheDay 11-04-2004 07:00 PM

any one here seen fahreniheit 911?

gaslight 11-04-2004 07:07 PM
For comedy or other?
Well, being a Simpson's book it is funny. But it's like, serious-ish analysis of stuff. Like as a satire of America/Western culture and things like that.

bottlerocket 11-04-2004 07:08 PM

^ Yeah. I thought it was good, but once again, I won't turn this into a political thread with my political ideas.

But it did raise a lot of questions and answer/support many questions/theories I had, too.

But remember, it's EXTREMELY BIASED. Keep that in mind. But I'm not saying it's untruthful either, it just doesn't give both sides.

I'm interested to see Celscius 488, too (911 deg. F = 488.3 deg. C).

DaveSavesTheDay 11-04-2004 07:10 PM

Ya i know , but it represnt alot of my views and i agree with most of the stuff that is said. any who is celscius 488 made / produced by?

bottlerocket 11-04-2004 07:15 PM

^ Some Conservative Republicans (who get on their knees for O'Reilly and Savage, both of whom are extremely intelligent and respectable men, as Moore is to an extent, slightly lacking in the respectable part).

But I don't agree with everything in that movie. No, you don't have to like or agree with your country's leader. Yes, freedom of speech, I firmly believe in that. But, I think common deceny should have been a factor in making the movie, if you catch my drift (but I DID enjoy the movie and thought it was pretty good overall).

/ends political "rant" (if you can call it that). Once again, I refuse to put forth my political ideas on this forum/web site for two reasons:
1- I don't want arguments.
2- There are too many people on here who are too closed minded and I don't want a part of that.

Working on fingerpicking Hamm's Vers of the Moonlight Sonata, no new gear.

Wintermute 11-04-2004 07:20 PM

I'm still avidly listening to Primus and trying to work out the lines, now that I have the right number of strings.

FUNKNBASS 11-04-2004 07:20 PM

Hey everyone.

I recommend Tommy The Cat and DMV to start.

gaslight 11-04-2004 07:24 PM

Hey Funk.

Argh I'm bored.

First band practice in a while this afternoon though, I'm waiting to be told the time of it.

FUNKNBASS 11-04-2004 07:26 PM

I have finally made a few decisions about my gear and rig, its all about simplification.

bottlerocket 11-04-2004 07:26 PM

^ That sounds hawt.

OK, I don't see the point of making a new thread for this, but: I played an amazing Warwick at GC today. All of it had a natural wood finish, 4 strings, and it had unique inlays. They were mountains/sunsets and the 12th was a wolf or something. It had 24 frets, and I THINk it was called the "thumb 3" or something. It had a crapload of numbers on the price tag. It was around $1,850 USD, and if my memory serves me correctly, the guy said it was limited edition.

It was one of the fastest basses I've ever played. It was incredibly light (especially for a Warwick), great notes/fretboard/feel, and I loved it. Anyone know what bass I'm talking about? I want to get some more info on it...

The only drawback is that it's 1,850 (give or take) for only 4 strings.

Whatcha gonna do?

Wintermute 11-04-2004 07:27 PM

Anyone here know much about AIM and how it works? Earlier on tonight I got messaged by a random person who was obviously from the forums, hurling random, though inventive, insults around. He had obviously at least been reading the forums, as he mentioned one or two other members in the insults.

I blocked him, but he didn't actually become blocked, in fact he appeared on my Buddy List in a totally new group, which he made for himself. ( 'Orphans' )

Which are...?

Yeah Alex, learn TTC. I love that song. My Name is Mud is good, too, but I'm pretty sure that only requires a 5 string.

Was I mentioned? That's strange...I didn't think you could add yourself to other's buddylists. Must be a hacker or something?

Let's hear some of the insults, I'm curious.
