risbo 11-04-2004 07:27 AM

Theoreticly could I use a violin bow on my bass for a cello sound?

FUNKNBASS 11-04-2004 07:31 AM

I belive so,though I think you'll just get less lows. Im not sure it would make a Cello sound. Try it out.

risbo 11-04-2004 07:33 AM

Well then, I geuss I need to find me a violin bow.

thelowsoundofbass 11-04-2004 08:26 AM

ShelBel 11-04-2004 10:09 AM

'Night Rollo.

G'morning MX! ;)

AfroMan 11-04-2004 10:37 AM

Why is everyone in the bass forum so against Rep points?

Spaceman Spiff 11-04-2004 10:41 AM

i'm probably going to have to stay after school today to film a video for one of my classes
hopefully i'll be able to film it during my class as it is the last period of the day.

coddingtown 11-04-2004 10:49 AM

Man my home computer's internet has been down for like 3 days. I gotta get my posting in during class

ShelBel 11-04-2004 10:50 AM

*shrugs at question about rep points* I dunno. Personally, I don't care. They're on most of the forums I frequent, and it seems to be a devisive issue on all of them. Some like them, some hate them, and ne'er the 'twain shall meet.

Saitoku 11-04-2004 10:54 AM

What's up, bass folks?

Saitoku 11-04-2004 11:02 AM

*crickets chirp*

Espbassor 11-04-2004 11:16 AM

Wow, this place is dead :p

ShelBel 11-04-2004 11:23 AM

Shuttling between here and a couple other places... should get up and clean up the Commons (push in chairs/keyboards etc), and sod it all, I have to go to the bathroom... I'll be back in a few!

*dashes off* ;)

moxshyfter 11-04-2004 11:28 AM

Uhh, I'm here! But I'm boring...so...

ShelBel 11-04-2004 11:30 AM

*waves at mox*

moxshyfter 11-04-2004 11:32 AM

 What's goin on?

ShelBel 11-04-2004 11:50 AM

Not much. I suppose I should be working on something else; one of my coworkers (our network admin, actually) is being shipped out next week and we're having a party for him; I've sort of been put in charge of the "artsy" part of things. I'm not sure exactly what that means; Sue mentioned something about pictures and stuff, I suppose I'll have to clarify with her exactly WHAT I'm being artsy on/for. :D

moxshyfter 11-04-2004 11:53 AM

Most guys just see girls as inherently more creative and decorative than guys (which is probably true in most cases). Guys have eyes for girls, and girls have eyes for everything else. Sad, but true! :)

What kind of company do you work for?

Jim Hull 11-04-2004 12:58 PM

Hello guys

I have just got back from handing in my first university essay. It went well so now its just fingers crossed for the result!

Espbassor 11-04-2004 01:01 PM

w00t! Nov 23rd will be the best day ever! :D :D

Accentopus 11-04-2004 01:55 PM

See you later guys.

ESP that made me laugh

MasterofBass 11-04-2004 01:56 PM

Hey, here's some news for all you guys. I was recently named the bassist of a band from Staten Island, New York called Woods of Arden. I'm so excited I'm finally part of a very original band that all the memebers of are very cool and nice and are open to me making very interesting bass lines. My first gig with them is Nov. 27. Sometime within a few months our website will have some of our music. I'll post the website in my profile when they update it and actually change who's in the band, because according to the website the old bassist is still in... I'll let you guys know more when I get it, and I'll tell you how the gig goes in a few weeks.
