wtf, I never talk to my friends about music because most of their tastes are just narrowed down to generic classic rock, but today I found out one of my good friends likes Boredoms, Fugazi, the Jesus Lizard and stuff like that.

The people who I talk to on this website have closer taste in music to me than most of my real life friends. The "indie" friends I have IRL usually just listen to garbage like Tegan and Sara.

Word. I have a couple friends who are into some of the same bands, but for the most part, there's a big gap between bands my friends say are good and bands I consider listenable.

i tried to be optimistic and make a good argument in the thread though. i think they'll come back.

I think there should be an age where you grow out of the Beatles.

There should be an age when many cliche'd classic rock bands are abandoned, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd being top contenders.

I can tolerate some Beatles here and there, but the issue addressed in this post:
